Southpaw Sushi - Sacramento - Photo album

Some of the best sushi I have had in a long time! House made ponzu sauce and the freshest ingredients. Find this place! 😋
1st timer. Omg I had to wait till 4:30 to come in but it was worth the wait. The "light the beam" roll was my favorite. It's on the special menu. So good! The seaweed was so flavorful. The sake was delicious. The service was great. Definitely coming back. This will be my go to spot for now on.
Husband and I sat at the bar and were treated to fresh, creative, and delicious sushi. Chef Shaq was very engaging and took care of everyone, making sure we were having a great time and enjoying our food. We had Seafood Nachos, Uptown and Electric Eel Rolls, and Sashimi. Everything was delightful. W
Food was immaculately presented, delicious and surprisingly well priced for what was offered. The ambience was warm and a little chic. I'm super impressed and will be back again. Try the BTS! I have had a version of this dish at several Japanese style restaurants in town but this was BY FAR the best
Have you ever heard that sometimes the best restaurants are in the sketchiest parts of town? Well so far this is the best sushi spot in Sacramento, but it’s located in the wonderful Del Paso heights neighborhood. It is pricy and can get busy on the weekends, but the sushi is worth it for a nice date
It was my first time here. I'm so glad I found this place! Excellent food! No fishy smell. The chef was considerate of my dietary restrictions and made me an off-menu gluten-free & dairy-free roll for me! They also had Tamari Gluten-free soy sauce. There was a bit of a wait due to them being busy. A
If you want sushi in Sacramento, look no further. Southpaw Sushi is the best Sacramento has to offer and Chef Shaq is great. He'll keep ya happy and laughing with food and drinks. Kampai!
I recently moved to North Sacramento and was blown away when I found this amazing local gem and my new go-to sushi spot. I'm almost afraid to post such a good review since the laid back vibe and dining room full of regular customers ready to share their favorite menu items and spark up friendly conv
The food here was amazing! Some of the best sushi in Sacramento! It was my first time here and i was received with open arms and got great service. I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!
I really liked the tuna roll with sishito peppers and sambal, can't remember the name. The Roy.g.biv. roll was delicious as well, the Hamachi especially. The last roll that is crunchier side is also good. I think this sushi restaurant has decent prices and calmer atmosphere. The rolls aren't "super
Can’t believe we just now found Southpaw! We ordered three vegan rolls; the Christie, the Vegan Woodlake and the Vegan Spider, as well as grilled asparagus with vegan sauce. Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly and the restaurant was full. Always thankful for vegan options on the menu a
Loved it! I've been waiting for this new place to open to support Lou after the last place changed hands. Everything we had was delicious especially the pork belly fried rice and wasabi san. After ordering 4 oysters, we ordered 4 more! We also enjoyed a carafe of Tears of Dawn chilled sake. Keep up
Excellent sushi, worth the drive! Limited seating, first come first serve, so go early and enjoy!

I was scared for what the rest of the meal would look like when the English cucumber appetizer I ordered came out. I had to cut it with my butter knife and it didn't have much flavor.. I ended up being pleasantly surprised! The multiple types of nigiri we had were yummy!
The food is fresh& delicious in a casual , unpretentious place . The Shrimp tempura was the best I have had in a long while. Spicy Eel roll very tasty. I would highly recommend South Paw to anyone that loves sushi.
This place is dope, I see why it has such high reviews. The dudes at the chef counter were and absolute pleasure to dine with. Igor was my main guy and he threw it down! Had a few pieces of nigiri I’ve never had before and everything was delightful. Well priced and super high quality. If you’re look
Best sushi I've had.. maybe ever? Couldnt recommend more. We had salmon, himachi and tuna Nigeri, all were amazing. The Uptown roll was magical. Tu made us a delicious chefs choice roll. Everything was so fresh and delicious. We will be back here for sure!
This sushi place is a great example of a business that really cares, cares about the food and the people. I just had one of the best omakase meals in a long time and had to share. You can see the care and dedication as the chef/owner Lou craft each piece of sushi, yet also take the time to greet pat
