Outstanding food and service. Has that home away from home feel
Great pub food. Fantastic sandwiches, the Reuben is outstanding and I always have the same server and he is always on point.
Best burgers in town. Great food and the best burgers in town. Their servers are friendly and fast if they are fully staffed and there is a crowd.
Good food. Great beer selection. But the service is consistently poor. Staff is nice but service is slow and unresponsive. I hear this from many people.
Quimby's is always a fun time. Tucked in a strip mall, you wouldn't expect much. Really a hidden gem. Drinks are good, food is good, and the prices are decent for the area.
Great !!. OK .. this is one of my favorite places .. the food is always fantastic .. the drinks are always wonderful the staff is so great .. I just love it here. The Loaded Cheese Fries are to die for (made with Nacho cheese sauce - YUM) .. and the Wings .. I think the best in town! It is warm, welcoming and unassuming ... just what a top rate neighborhood bar should be! Check out the specials board .. always somthing interesting to choose from !! PS .. It is a home away from home !!
Like Soup?. Really good soup options for a cold Rochester day. Friendly staff and I have never left hungry.
Great for Lunch or to Watch the Game. Definitely a top 10 for sandwiches or soups. Good priced food and drinks with friendly staff and owner.
Went to J B Quimby's every Friday about 10 years ago... used to work in that same strip mall (winton plaza)... was as good today as it was back then. Amazingly delicious food, courteous staff, great atmosphere. I got the special seafood platter today ~ it is fish fry Friday in NY afterall! Only 12 bucks for fIah fry, fries (beer battered), scallops and clams! oh, and cole slaw too!... I added an iced tea along with it for a whopping 14 bucks and some change for final bill. Highly recommended! Fish Fry's are my thing, this is only the 3rd place in Rochester in my many years here which does it perfect. Attached at photos of Quimby's and the food I had.
By the way, their chicken wings, known as YARDBIRD used to be my favorite here... didn't order it this time, but it is amazing from my memories.

It's a good thing I work in Rochester (I live in Syracuse) and I'm right around the corner from J.B. Quimby's because I seriously CRAVE the food!
The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very comfortable, clean and welcoming . The staff is attentive and very friendly. The food is OUTSTANDING! It is wonderfully cooked, seasoned and completely satisfying!
My dining companion swears that the wings (and several of the delicious wing sauces) are the absolute BEST not only in Rochester, but in all of NYS and the countless other places they have traveled.
I like to consider myself a "foodie" even though I don't eat meat. I would be willing to bet money that whoever created the Veggie Bowl here was a vegetarian themselves! It is loaded with veggies! Red peppers, califlour, broccli, snow peas, mushrooms, baby corn and even artichoke hearts make up at least 75% of this dish, if not more! They are all fresh, cooked to perfection (no soggy veggies!) and seasoned to make your mouth water. The rice is a wonderful mix, also seasoned and cooked well. Unlike other restaurants that claim to have veggie bowls and only includes a handful of whatever is laying around, Quimby's makes the veggies the star of this dish! They do it right and I'm greatful! The portion is very generous and the price is right. (especially considering the variety of fresh veggies!) It's great to have a very filling meal and enough leftover to satisfy myself the next day too!
One day I will branch out and try some of the other vegetarian options from the menu and I'm sure they will be delicious, but right now I can't stop craving this bowl! It is everything!
While I can't speak for everything on the menu personally, I can say I have never heard anything but praise about the dishes served. I can also say that I'm beyond pleased that a restaurant finally gets that vegetarians don't just eat salad and frozen veggie burgers. J.P. Quimby's knows how to make an excellent meal and for that, I will remain a dedicated customer!
Good solid bar and grill food! A good go-to if you're in the area. 4 stars because nothing exceptional, just well executed.

Amazing and delicious meal!! Service incredible and Bloody Mary was so good I two!! Beer and wing deals great and BLT's delicious. Draft beer crisp and delightful, never a bad choice for a quick bite or just wanting to watch sports.
We come here for lunch often and are never disappointed. There are always specials along with the regular menu, and there are a TON of sides to choose from (including tater tots and sweet potato fries). Nico is a phenomenal server- always smiling & friendly, quick and has a memory like a steel trap. This place is also a favorite for happy hour- there is always something delicious on tap. This is not a date place, this is your "Cheers" place, enjoy accordingly.
1st time there and was pleasantly surprised. Go by all the time but had never stopped in. Our server Julie was extremely upbeat and went over the specials with us. The food arrived hot and cooked perfectly and we enjoyed every bite. Will definitely go back
Great little local bar with decent bar food and beer selection.
I'm here pretty much every week meeting up with a group of friends, and we've been doing it for years, but aren't sick of it yet! They have a subset of beers always on tap, and the rest are always rotating. The specials menu also changes pretty frequently as well.
This place has the feeling of a British pub meets Cheers. The bar staff is always friendly and the prices are good. The food is very good for your average american bar food. I do think that the servers in the "dining" area could be a bit more attentive and remember what tables they have sat first before taking all the orders of a six top that walks in 15 mins after you sat down. That aside, it is worth a look if you are in the area looking for a quick bite and a pint.
Quimby's is a great place for food, drinks, and socializing. Their food specials are some of the best is the area. Their beer pairing dinners are amazing with the various local breweries they have come in. Everyone I know enjoys this local bar, and I'm sure you will too.
