The Spirit Room

A friend found a book that listed 100 things one should do in Rochester in your life and the Spirit Room was one of those experiences listed. We went with another couple and we are a few years older than their normal clientele. All I can say is we had a wonderful time, the decor can only be described as esoteric, from fun to morbid. You can entertain yourself just looking at the collection of wares. Food was excellent, started with loaded fries, and the fries were perfectly cooked and toppings we tasty. The 4 meals we had were all tasty and servings good size. Cocktails were different and tasty. We will be back, probably the most enjoyable evening out in a long time, and we go out several times a month.

Great little spooky themed place; the atmosphere is wonderful and the cocktails I've tried have all been very good, highly recommend! Really enjoyed the ragtime piano music too and the cheesy spooky cartoons being played on a projector while I was there, really complimented the vibe of the place perfectly!

This is truly a Unique experience and worth stopping in. They had two bands the evening we visited and although a smaller venue for a band it was very cool. They have a full bar and what a very interesting bar it is! The staff were all friendly and helpful and the decor is worth the trip alone. They also had tables out on the sidewalk to enjoy your drinks and hang out at. It's in downtown Rochester and with the music it was a great night!

Taxidermy, cocktails, beer, art, oddities, non-alcoholic cocktails... I'm legitimately in love. I live in Buffalo and wanted to show my friend from out of town the best of Western NY. I'm certainly glad my friends suggested this place. Being an hour and a half away, I didn't want to get schnockered, so I put my faith in the kind bartender/owner to periodically make a craft NA cocktail. The beer selection wooed me, and the cocktails with booze were also excellently made. The atmosphere, lighting, and music set a mood that made me return, even in that first night. I couldn't find anything better! The next time I come, I'm going to have to get the tacos, because at this point, I trust what they're doing.
