The Distillery Restaurant Mt. Hope

I’ve been to the distillery many times and to multiple locations but this one is my favorite because of the quality of service provided. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, I don’t usually remember my servers names but since I’ve been to this location so many times I’ve gotten to know some of the people who work there and Cassandra never fails to provide exceptional service, she always greets me with a smile and checks in frequently to make sure I’m satisfied with my meal. She’s never short or rude with me but during slower times in the restaurant she takes the time to chat with me which is nice because I usually dine alone after a long day at work so I have a few drinks before going home.

Had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was quite good. Homemade potato chips were crunchy and crispy and were very good. The waiter was polite however he took a while to pick up our check. He was helping out in the kitchen so maybe they are short-staffed like everywhere. Can't really hold that against him.

I absolutely love this place. The food was great, the drinks were awesome and the service was as it should be. I gave the 'atmosphere' 4 stars because its not handicapped friendly. To use the womans bathroom, you have to go upstairs. A wheelchair might fit through during their slower times but youre more than likely going to sat at a high top and there's little sets of stairs almost everywhere. But i highly recommend at least ordering take out so you can enjoy the food!

Tried to get the poutine but unfortunately it had been taken off the menu, although it was still on the website. Thankfully the mozzarella bites were a pretty good substitute. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was good, although not the best I've had. It came with a huge portion of homemade chips. My friend got a kebab plate which she said was really good. Server was friendly and attentive without hovering. Did a great job!
