Mission BBQ is one of our favorite BBQ restaurants in Richmond. It is unique and the food is always great. I love the atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. All wall surfaces are covered with military patches, photos, sports items, and military memorabilia. Everyone behind the counter always make you feel welcome. The customer service is superb. The food speaks for itself, all meats and sides are cooked to perfection. Even though there is always a line, but it moves very quickly and there were never a long wait. This is a great place to fix your BBQ cravings!

1st time here and love it. The atmosphere, employees, and other guests gave off a warm inviting feeling. I had the 3 meat sampler with pulled pork, smoked turkey, & jalapeno& cheese brats!! I also had 2 sides (mac n cheese & cheesy potatoes) so good!!

Nicely seasoned meats. Had the Mac & cheese and potato salad as sides with the sample 3 meat platter of ribs, pulled pork, and sausage. All were good.

Love love love Mission BBQ!!! I had the 2 meat sampler and chose the pulled pork and brisket. Both were outstanding! Had the baked beans (excellent) and seasoned buttered corn on the cob (incredible). Good selection of sauces to tingle the palette as well. I almost forgot the delicious cornbread, oh mama that's good eats!

My dad is a vet. As soon as this place opened, he wanted to come check it out and we've been going back ever since! The food is wonderful they really take pride in their food! The staff are all very nice and take very good care of you. If you want to give your business to a place that really celebrates not only military vets but also any first responders then this is the place for you. As a side note they have the best blueberry cobbler!

Very good BBQ, lots of different types of sauces to sample. The sides are delicious. Stand (that's right) for the national anthem every day at 12:00 noon when veterans are recognized. Some outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seats as well. It's all good but I recommend the brisket. Enjoy!

I normally love to go to Mission BBQ but this time just wasn’t good. I wanted to try something new and I got the sliced brisket sandwich. We might as well call it the fatty sandwich because it was nothing but fat and it looked nasty, it made me lose my appetite. Also they gave me these scraps for fries. The only thing that was good was the Mac and cheese. Also watching the kitchen crew wipe their nose with their gloves and munch on the food when no customers were ordering. I’m going to assume it was just a bad night
