O'charley's

It was good. Don't normally go during the week. We went today because we had trouble getting in on Sundays. UPDATE:. April 11, 2022- Again, we went during the week, since we were having trouble getting in on Sundays. I ordered the Shrimp and Stuffed Crab. I have never had Stuffed Crab, which is the same as crab cakes. It was good, and I probably would order it again. It was new, but sadly, it is probably one of those limited time items. UPDATE:. May 19, 2022-I saw on the app that they had a Crab cake Dinner. I ordered the Shrimp and Stuffed Crab the last time I was in the restaurant, so I wanted to try the Crab cake Dinner. They were bigger than the crab cakes in the other dish. I also had Baked Potato, Broccoli, Rolls, and Coke Zero. It was delicious. Unfortunately, it is also one of those limited time items.

Over the past several years, my wife and I have frequented the Richmond O’Charley’s more times than I can count. In years past the food was always hit or miss. Recently (and by that I mean the past year or more) they have stepped up their game dramatically. I am a steak man. Always have been. I’ve come to love their Louisiana sirloin, and always order it “medium” (a damn tough temp for a cook to land on properly). This evening (we are still at the table while I write this) I ordered that very steak, and I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that it was the best steak I’ve ever had here and MAYBE, taste wise, the most flavorful, best steak I’ve ever eaten! I’ve dined in many high end restaurants throughout the state and when we travel we always try to find someplace special (usually translates to expensive ;) ), and I would put the meal I JUST had here at O’Charley’s in Richmond Indiana up against ANY ONE OF THEM!

Me and my family went there today to eat, and the time we went it was not busy at all but for some reason the server we had was not very attentive and barely checked on us for refills. She forgot our drinks we ordered, the appetizers we ordered, only asked us once about refills. A family came in shortly after us and had received more attention than our table had gotten since we been there. We waited over an hour for our food. The manager looked annoyed when we explained to him that we haven’t received some of the items we ordered. Used to enjoy this place but will not be going back here again.

Ordered curbside pickup. Chicken tenders plate with fries was ok except the tenders were a bit overcooked. Seafood combo plate with coleslaw and broccoli tasted good, but portions were puny. The only piece of cod was smaller than my thumb. 3 small shrimp. 3 deviled crabs, but each one was smaller than the palm of my hand. Decent amounts of coleslaw and broccoli. Salad was mostly lettuce with very small amounts of cheese and croutons, but for a Ceasar salad, that's kinda what I expected. Overall good eats, but seafood portions were very disappointing.

Ask for no onion on potato skin, came out with onions. Took back, took forever to get another order. When they came out had very little cheese and very little bacon. Came out same time as the dinner plates came. I got a bake potato and found something red in it. Ask waitress she said spices. What spices do you put in bake potato with sour cream and butter? They did remove the charge for the potato skins.
