My daughter and I are obsessed with CSush (as we lovingly dubbed it)! The vegetarian sushi is outstanding- we try to eat here as much as possible. The vegetable tempura roll is to die for. Our favorite server is so cool- she makes us feel like VIPs and we adore her! Absolutely THE BEST SUSHI IN RICHMOND. And the restaurant itself is beautiful! What more could you ask for?? A+++++
Omg this sushi is phenomenal.
My wife and i split x2 avacado rolls, 1 rage roll and 1 volcano roll. They were all the bomb.
Great place to beat the heat.
Wonderful! I made a mistake and ordered my food for carry out almost an hour too late. I showed up at the time I had intended to pick it up and explained the problem, and they immediate set to work preparing it for me and had it ready within 15 minutes. Amazing! Very kind, very talented chef and staff, outstanding sushi. We will be back. Many, many times. This is now my go-to in Richmond.
Top experience.
Granted, I miss the moody atmosphere of the old spot, but the fresh decor comes with some of the freshest fish I've had in Richmond. The platter meals are generous and varied, with each piece more buttery and satisfying than the last. Their spicy tuna roll has no right tasting as good as it does. Great spot for a date with friendly service and the bonus of Carytown people watching outside.
best cut of nigiri/sushi i’ve had in a while. i went here on a saturday night and lucky for us it wasn’t too crowded. the specialty rolls were good but the highlight of the meal was definitely the sushi. the cut of fish was thick and fresh. you don’t find many places that do that anymore so 5/5 for that. in general a nice little date spot
This lovely little restaurant sits right at the beginning of carytown, the end closest to the fan in Richmond , Va. My partner and I loved the atmosphere and it was nice and comfortable despite it being around 20 degrees outside. The space is a little small and there only is space for one party to wait inside the restaurant and that is at the small bar they have. I'm pretty sure they had to decrease the amount of people they allow dining in because of covid.
I started with a delicious warm seafood soup that actually had all types of seafood in it like shrimp and fish for $5! (Not common) Next I ordered the New York rolls which had salmon , avocado, and cucumber and 6 came per order for $5 and they were amazing! For my main meal I ordered the thick noodles with beef and it was very flavorful and delicious. My partner ordered the chicken hibachi (couldn't get a pic because she dove right in) and that was even more delicious and amazing. I swear it got better with every bite! They perfected blending all the ingredients. Staff was great, only one server around the time we went but she did amazing tending to us. I absolutely will come back and recommend to friends! Oh for it being in carytown the prices are awesome and not expensive at all! A place 2 doors down had a normal Topo Chico for $8. Carytown can be crazy with their prices sometimes. No way will I ever pay that for a simple drink with no alcohol.
My reasoning behind giving 4 stars and not 5 stars is that there were many items on the menu I had zero idea what they were and I wasn't about to bother the server with a million questions. So pictures to aid customer on some of the not so common plates would've helped. other than that, this place is great!
Great spot, great food, and friendly service. We enjoyed the miso soup, seaweed salad, edamame and a few rolls. Would love to come back again and try some more, the menu is extensive.
Very small establishment, but the service was very quick. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help us select wonderful rolls and entrees. The sushi is fresh and delicious. Ramon noodles have lots of flavor and made just right. Tempora had a little too much batter for me on the shrimp and the onion was completely raw, but I don't like onions so that that comment with a grain of sand. Other then those minor things I will return. Enjoyable evening with family.
I've eaten sushi on the east and west coast, in Japan and South Korea, and this is still one of the best sushi spots I've ever been to
Nice little spot, the door looks sketchy but please step in, it's worth it! I've been a few times and love popping in for the good lunch deals (3 sushi rolls for the price of 2? Yes please!). Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick bite. Only thing I don't recommend is the Martini haha
