Live Crawfish & Seafood Restaurant Henrico

My daughter requested a seafood boil for her birthday and after reading reviews we decided on Live Crawford & Seafood. We were very pleased with our seafood boil. It had good flavor, was spicy but not too and plenty for the two of us. They even gave her some beignets for her birthday which were were also good. Will will definitely return when we have a taste for a good seafood boil.

We placed an order at the restaurant. The waiter was extremely accommodating with our order. My wife can't handle spicy food, but the rest of our party wanted spicy. The waiter took down the order and split it between spicy and non-spicy (above and beyond). He was extremely friendly too. The food was amazing. The best steamed seafood place in Richmond we've had so far. The meat was cooked perfectly. Extremely tender, meat pulled out perfectly, No albumin (white fat, it means cooked too hot and fast). It will be our go-to spot for this type of meal from now on in Richmond.

Very friendly service..very sweet waitress food was fresh steamed almost to perfection. Had snow and Dungeness crab legs. Shrimp was steamed wel( maybe could have cleaned a little better but still delicious). fried crabs were amazing and so was calamari appetizer. Loved how they bagged our leftovers for us and made it easy to travel back home with. I would definitely recommend this place!!

The restaurant's decor did not look enticing, so I was a bit "weary" when I sat down. However, the waiter was very helpful and pointed me to a more affordable choice so I could have 1/2 lb of each of the Snow Crab Legs, Dungeness Crab, and Shrimp. I had the spicy (not overwhelmingly spicy at all) mixture of all but garlic sauce was delicious! Spicy and sweet 😋

Live Crawfish & Seafood has been open since 2018, I have not heard about it until now. By far this is my most favorite Seafood Boil restaurant in Richmond. They make their sauce in-house and that is what made their food stand out from others. For someone who normally wouldn’t eat butter, I absolutely loved their Garlic Butter for dipping. The restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated. They cook and serve the food in aluminum serving trays. I actually liked it better than the bag. I asked for spicy and that was what I got. The seafood was very fresh and plenty for a meal. My husband and I shared the $55.99 Crab Lovers Special with one pound of Shrimp (heads off). It was plenty of food and we had leftover to bring home.

Fist time in a long time I have had a Louisiana style boil in Richmond. Dang it was good, I suggest the New Orleans style seasoning for the boil. If you know mud bugs then you know there is no comparison between live and frozen. I asked and they pick them up at the Richmond Airport direct from Louisiana and cook them fresh for you. I also had to try the raw oysters and they are local from the Chesapeake Bay and were delicious! The potatoes and corn on the cob were very good in the boil as well. The crab legs were not overcooked and awesome! The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly too! What a great experience!!!
