My daughter and I decided to take a drive to Richmond to check out the area. After driving around we stumbled upon the Carytown neighborhood. it’s a really cool place to spend some time. We decided to get something to eat and my daughter wanted Mexican. We stopped at the Jalapenos Mexican grill. It’s small but has a really cool vibe. They started with free chips and salsa. That’s always a good sign. The chips were fresh and crunchy. The salsa tangy and a little smoky. She ordered Quesabirra which is shredded beef and cheese. It was moist and tender but it’s all meat so it will be heavy on you stomach best to share this meal. I ordered the burrito and enchiladas combo it was Moist and delicious the re-fried beans were very creamy and smooth. though a very good meal it was not very filling. A very good and reasonable place to step for a taste of Mexico.
I will let the pictures talk. Our server was so nice and friendly!! And to the guys in the back that made out food!! DELISH!! I been to alot of Mexican places but this is my top 1!! I wanna go again....and I might do that! Just thinking bout it makes my mouth water🤤. Our food came out smoking hot. Had to wait a min so it can cool down. The Quesobirria(for give me if I spelled it wrong) the meat was soooooooooo juice and tender. And that piece of FAT! The dripping sauce was sooo good, I drunk the rest 🤣
Go and sit down, and eat...you will NOT regret it!
Mi Familia! Warm, professional and inviting staff. Irma and Stephanie are the best duo ever. They work alongside each other so effortlessly. The food is awesome and made with love from the guys in the kitchen...the drinks are top notch! Cozy and warm vibes with positive attitudes and great work ethics. They pay attention to their customers and are always near to provide exceptional service! At this point I'm addicted to this place!
Amazing food and quality service! My girlfriend and I were looking for something to eat for dinner and we stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant. We had the steak quesadilla and a torta al pastor. I would recommend this 10/10.
Asombrosa! This is probably my new favorite Mexican Joint! If you follow me at all you know I am do not like a breaded Chile Relleno and there has only been 1 place in Richmond that does it. BAM! I found another, but then they knocked it up a knotch, you can pick a beef, cheese or chicken one.. WHAT?! I never even knew they even had those options...so yeah pretty stoked about it. Our waitress even recognized me as a regular from the other place, once she said something I realized she used to wait on my at the old place. All the food was really good. My daughter got carnitas and I pick a little bit, very moist and tasty. I got a beef Chile Relleno and it was fantástico. Not a very big place. 4-5 booths and a small bar to sit at. Great Service, pretty quick food and very flavorful. Would highly recommend.
Amazing quesadilla with steak! Extra cheese! And a soda! Flavor was great! People were super nice even though the day had just winded down from Watermelon festival. Seemed like a family or at least they were working like a team.

Some constructive criticisms:
-The chorizo/queso dip was 95% chorizo with hardly any queso
-The chips were burnt (see pic). I’ve cooked these chips before and know there’s a fine line, but these were well over and shouldn’t have been served.
-Not a big deal but I requested the burrito be cut in half and it wasn’t, though the other notes were followed.
Overall this place has great potential and I won’t burn them (like the chips) with a low rating due to a few mistakes, my only hope is they see this and make the appropriate changes.
The food was fantastic for the most part. The loco burrito and chicken chimichangas were dank!
I think this place makes pretty dank food for an affordable price. I wish it were closer to me, after the Lalos incident 😢!
I love this place and I should’ve written this review sooner but here we are! The first time I came here, I ordered a butt load of chips for Super Bowl nachos. They were delicious chips but I loved the bartender sooo much that I have to go back. Fast forward to the last time I was in, the owner came out and we had a good ol time listening to Selena!!! Omg you 100% won me over! VIVA LA SENELA AND VIVA LA JALAPEÑOS!!!! Love your sweet faces and I love your sweet food!
Wow, what an amazing staff, location and great food. Generous people, tasty fresh food and some special that are worth trying out. Also do not forget their drinks and margaritas

The food here is delicious! I highly recommend getting the Burrito Jalapeños! Service is awesome and the atmosphere is very friendly! And the drinks are to die for, i tried one of their seasonal drinks and it was amazing!!! 10/10!!!
