I missed seeing Arnez J in DC so we drove to Richmond Funnybone to see him. Carmen Comedy was the opening comedian. They were both hilarious. It was nice visiting funny bone again. That was my second time. The food, service & drinks were excellent. We really enjoyed our visit. I really like the venue and location.
I have now been to the Richmond Funny Bone twice. Once for graduation of their comedy school and the second to see Steve Hoffsteder. Both visits were great. Staff is friendly. Wait staff is attentive. Food is delicious. I absolutely love their BLT tots. They made a good night out for the wife and I. Souvenir glasses are pretty cool too. If you haven't been, give this place a try.
I came here for the first time and the only thing I ordered was a pina colada. The drink had like 2% alcohol in it and the taste wasn’t what I was expecting. The service was good. Gratuity was automatically added to the ticket and that’s fine but they also asked for extra gratuity. I feel like restaurants and bars should either let customers tip what they want to tip or add it to the bill but not both. I’m usually a big tipper but if the company was satisfied with 18% then so am I. I would love to visit again.
Amazing time! OMG the colossal onion rings, General Tso Chicken Sandwich, and the funnel cake fries was AMAZING! It was a wonderful date night! After signing up for their newsletter I already got a free ticket to come back!
Ms. Pat did her Thang at the Funnybone, so glad I went took my lady for birthday, and she loved it. This pass Friday Sommore performance was top notch and had a great time can't wait to go back.
Server was attentive (although a little unprofessional in requesting a large tip at the end), fries were good, and the entertainment was awesome! Had a great night. I also like the way they remodeled, since it seems much less cramped in there now.

I would give 4 1/2 stars. The newly renovated showroom is definitely an upgrade from before. A lot of forward facing seating made for a comfortable experience. The service was decent, but the waitstaff forgot to bring ordered drinks twice and I had to remind them. Appetizers were not bad and the menu looks delicious for main entrees. Will be visiting here again.
Great place for laughs! The tables are spaced out well to give you room. The food was actually good and service was faster than I thought it would be. We watched JP Sears and he was phenomenal!
I would go back to the funny bone again. Good atmosphere with a reasonable price.
It is a nice venue for stand up comedy. Not a big space, so all seats are quite decent. First time here, but seats seem to be assigned randomly. No option to pick seats was offered. Food was typical bar food. Average quality, do not expect to be impressed by the food. You are there for the comedian. Also the wine list is basic - not much choice other than the grape. They have one choice for each of the grape varietals. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Bunch of strangely named cocktails are also available. So a pleasant enough experience, with plenty of room to improve on the culinary end. I would go again, but only for the right comedian. I think if the food and wine were better, I would venture more often. So I think they are missing out on a good business opportunity.
