Chianti

Reviewing on takeout food on Tuesday night, that boyfriend brought home. It's nice they included 3 bread packages, bc I'm pretty sure the oysters are an appetizer, not an entree. The garlic bread is freaking amazing; the best bread I've ever had - perfect texture, spices, sauce, cheese. Except salt. So salty. But wow it was even good this morning, cold. I don't think this was included last time; not sure if it always comes with the meals? Boyfriend got spaghetti; I didn't try but he was happy. I didn't see any veggies in the sauce, but it's possible he ordered without veggies. Or they are blended in finely. I didn't much look. Oysters... We had them months ago and they were absolutely perfect. (These are breaded). The ones on Tuesday seemed like they were frozen over the weekend and reheated - very soggy breading. We live 4 minutes away so pretty sure it being takeout is not the reason for the sogginess. Nonetheless, the oysters themselves were great! And the garlic sauce... Yesss! Minus 1 star for soggy oyster breading, and too much salt. Still very satisfied, and will be back often.

The food is ALWAYS great. We've been coming here for years and there's always a crowd. The value is also really good. I think their veal Marsala is the best in town. I'm shocked at the reviews since Covid of supposed longtime customers who say they won't come back b/c service was slow or they were placed on hold too long. Newsflash - there's still a huge shortage of workers. Also, would you rather have huge price increases and full staffing? How about some understanding and loyalty. Plus, there's always a wait so it's your loss.

Chianti gives the vibes of nice family owned Italian joint. We ordered their speciality veggie pizza, garlic bread,gnocci and pasta. Portion size is decent so order accordingly. Also had their long island iced tea and it was pretty good. Staff is friendly and offers suggestions on request. Overall nice time and glad to find one more Italian restaurant in the area.

Wanted a simple, quiet lunch after a hectic morning. Chianti was just the place. The nicest server suggested a few dishes and then delivered a delicious baked marinara spaghetti accompanied by the tastiest foccocia. Just what I wanted. Chianti is just right. Not too fancy. That perfect home Italian restaurant feel.

Delicious! We had a to-go order during the Saturday dinner rush. The order was not quite ready at the time promised, but the staff was very quick to acknowledge this as kept us updated on the final item in our order as we waited. The staff was in very high spirits and exhibited a good camaraderie which helped raise the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The patrons seemed to be enjoying their time in the restaurant and the waitstaff seemed attentive. Would highly recommend!

Got some takeout! We had eaten here once before and absolutely loved their Margherita Pizza. This time we went with Fettuccine Alfredo & their Salmon Pizza. Creamiest Fettuccine we have ever had! Would order this again for sure. The Salmon Pizza took some getting used too. I didn't taste the capers, and it was a little too salty. Still good though! And filling. Will be back to try more of the menu. ❤

Stopped here for the first time after picking my son up from preschool. They were pretty full except for the bar and a couple of tables. The waitress was slammed but the owner/chef waved motioned us to sit anywhere from the kitchen. He apologized and took our order. My wife ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza w/mushrooms and peppers. I got the steak and cheese w/a side of fries for my son. The s&c was juicy and flavorful. Her pizza was very tasty and a great crust unlike other GF pizzas she's had. The Stone IPA was cold, hitting the spot with the steak. We will surely make this a weekly stop after being impressed with their service, food, and ambiance.
