Love everything about this place! Excellent burgers, French fries, and variety of dipping sauces for the fries. Located in the former restaurant and bar called The Texas Wisconsin Border Cafe...back in the '70's! The walls still have some of the original brick and plaster...but elegantly done. Good memories for sure!

Came here for a late (8:30) dinner with some friends and enjoyed our time. It's a very popular spot, given how full it was late on a Thur night! They have bar seating, some booth seating, and small tables, as well as small tables outside, with heaters. I wasn't planning to get a burger originally, but both my friends so thoroughly enjoyed theirs I ended up ordering one.
Our server was very friendly and helpful and checked up on us regularly. After some consideration, I got the Lafayette. Our table also got a Beauvine and a Steak Frites burger, along with two sides of sweet potato fries and one of duck fat fries. This is probably one of the few times I didn't prefer the sweet potato fries! The duck fat fries were delicious - they honestly remind me of the taste of Chick-Fil-A fries, without the waffling.
The burgers were all good, but I wouldn't say anything spectacular. My one gripe is that they spread the brie on mine instead of just have a slice of baked brie like some spots do, so I felt like the brie didn't have much of a presence in the burger but that's being picky. I do want to come back and try a shake, as all the options sounded tasty!
A really good burger place around the downtown area, they do have a veggie beyond meat option for vegetarians, wish they had a chicken option as well.
Nice place with a bar as well and burgers are very tasty and flavourful. Must try place.
Great burger and the Gouda mac&cheese balls were amazing! All the sides were great and the lettuce wrap on the burger was wonderful for my mom!! Good selection of some local favorites on tap too!
Got the turkey burger and added my own toppings. It was pretty good but the aftertaste was weird. The turkey burger itself was a little over seasoned and too salty. The signature sauce they have is amazing! The drinks aren't that good and the service is alright... Overall just go for the burgers lol!
Can't say enough good things about this place. The food is amazing, our server was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is top-notch! Very reasonably priced for such excellent quality.
These burgers were SO good. I got the belle ringer and my husband got the joe beef. The sweet potato fries were great, the duck fat fries were just regular. We will be back!
This is my favorite burger spot in RVA 😍!! They have a great selection of patties, to include vegan options, that are very mouthwatering, juicy and well seasoned 😋😋. I’ve tried the turkey, and both the vegetarian type of patties and have yet to be disappointed—there’s a vast selection of toppings and sauces to dress your burger up and crispy, crunchy, duck fat fried fries to pair with it 🤤. If you haven’t tried this spot and are local to or visiting RVA, make it part of your plans!
Great vibes, good service! Delicious food and drinks. Great prices!!! I got the ginger lemon handcrafted soda (delish! but too much ice), the bellytimber burger (they have a lettuce wrap option!!), duck fat fries (love that they actually add salt), and a fruity pebbles milkshake (yummy!). Our server was Carly and she was awesome! Knew her stuff! I will definitely be returning many more times. Happy experience
Not a bad experience had great food, and staff was quick and friendly. Not pictured is the Gouda Mac and Cheese Arancini, which was freaking delicious and completely devoured. Highly recommend getting that as a starter for everyone, if not only for yourself.
