Carmengio’s

This neighborhood restaurant has very soothing decor. It's quiet and a good place to dine and carry on a conversation. The bread and dipping sauce is excellent. I had Chicken Parmigiana which came with pasta and sauce. It was a little too salty but tasted very good. I added a side salad ($4 upcharge) and the creamy peppercorn dressing was delicious.

I came here for my 21st birthday today with a friend. We were greeted by a lovely server named Hannah and seated down. She was very prompt and attentive and I appreciate how kind she was to us. If you're looking for a elegant, intimate setting to do a proposal or go over business I would definitely recommend this for you.

The food is very good. There were not very many employees here though. They will pack your leftovers for you, make sure to ask to everything on your plate to be put in the Togo. They do bring out bread for the table, but only one roll per person... the water comes out of a glass bottle that is set on a table after being served. I got the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti, it was amazing; however, it was a bit expensive. It was $15.00 for the dish. And some tea was almost $3.00.

Had a party of 14. Food: Excellent! Waiter: Seemed Inexperienced but nice. The waiter was more than less confused with the wines and the prices he was offering during service up until when the bill was reviewed and then paid. (Which was positively handled by the owner) Also there was No drink menu and no kids menu after over a month of being open??? The waiter offered lemonade for the kids but then realized they didn’t have it. It took us asking to get the bread and olive oil dipping stuff that is usually supposed to be brought out when you are seated, 45 minutes into our dining experience. However our Overall the experience was good and the food was great and I would return, but I still think the wait staff needs better training or more experience personnel on staff but I would return.

Best Italian food in the area!! My wife had the Tuscan Chicken Pasta, and I had the Chicken Parmesan. Both were delicious and ample portions. The garlic bread was excellent as well. Prices were exceptionally reasonable for the quality of food and service. We were checked on continuously and felt welcomed. We will definitely be back and recommend Carmengio's!

Came in on a whim.. was just looking for for somewhere to eat that was not fast food. Small quiet place with classic soft music. Think Frank Sinatra. The chef sings a little. The tomato basil soup was excellent. The chicken Alfredo was great. The Alfredo sauce was light and delicious. The waitress with the tattoos is way cute. I like this little place.

This is the best Italian food in Richmond! The storefrot is very warm and welcoming. As soon as you walk in, every staff member makes an effort to welcome you. There are tables and booths available to sit at. The entire atmosphere is relaxing and makes you feel at home. Food is generously portioned so if you are in the mood to share, you both will be full from the meal. Each dish has plenty of flavor in each bite and there are plenty of options to choose from. The menu has been updated and is now easier to read/select from as there are descriptions under the meals. If you are passing through or are in the general area, you have to stop by Carmengio's.

The staff was friendly while my to go order was freshly prepared. I like that you can see into the kitchen and watch as your food is prepared right in front of you. The chicken capellini pomodoro is delicious! I have tried this dish other places and hands down Carmengio's is the best. The food has great flavor, tastes fresh and portions are very generous. We also got the grilled salmon which I highly recommend. We can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu as I am sure everything will be just as tasty.
