This was my first experience with Alpaca and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. The food tasted so authentic and the chicken I ordered was juicyyy. I really enjoyed every thing about the dish, especially the plantains and yuca fries. The staff were very patient with me as I tried to figure out what to order 😅 and they did answer a lot of our questions, so i definitely appreciated that. I WISH there was a restaurant like this back where I live 😭 when I visit NC again I’m DEF coming back!! Gracias por todo 🔥

Great casual place, the chicken was really good and tasted authentic. My son had the Lomo Saltado which was nice too. Great hot sauce as well.

My husband and I are visiting from out of state and were looking for a unique spot for lunch. We just happened to find Alpaca in a search of the area. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere was welcoming and bright. The staff were pleasant and even let us sample items before we ordered. To say the food was outstanding is an understatement! We have had dining experiences ranging from high-end restaurants to tiny mom-and-pop establishments and this has BY FAR been one of the best experiences to date. The food is simple but features complex flavor profiles that are spot on authentic and the portions are generous. Whenever we are back in North Carolina, this is THE restaurant we will come back to again and again!

Having been to most Alpaca locations across NC, this is my first review of lunch on 9/13/23. This particular location is at the top of my list. Their food, service and atmosphere are consistent and top notch. Although it gets very busy, there are plenty of staff that keep the operation running smoothly. I typically order take out for my work mates and everything is always fresh, correct and delicious. I also really appreciate the assistance carrying my order to my vehicle. It’s obvious to me that this place has quality management and a well trained team. Although I have had several things on the menu, it’s hard to beat the Peruvian rotisserie chicken. It’s well seasoned, tender and not over cooked. There are also several sides to chose from, but the maduros and the plantains have to be my favorites. I highly recommend you give this place a try for lunch or dinner!

Alpaca Peruvian Charcoal Chicken is an AMAZING restaurant chain in the Raleigh area! We visited here for the first time recently because a friend told us they have some of the very best chicken out there, and he was correct! This is a counter-serve Peruvian restaurants with all the classics like lomo and pollo saltado, but their signature dish is their Peruvian rotisserie chicken - white or dark meat! You NEED to try this if you like chicken. The flavoring is top-notch, seasoned better than any non-fried chicken I’ve ever had before. I would literally get this almost every day if I could. However, we did try other things like their lomo saltado and they were excellent as well. Rice and black beans, plantains, yucca, fries, and all the sides are awesome. This seems like one of those places where you can order pretty much anything and be VERY happy with the final product! Be sure to try some chicha morada when you visit here - it’s a super classic Peruvian drink I had while I visited the country. Sweet, with a unique flavor…it’s awesome! Service is friendly, prices are reasonable, and food is counter-serve so it is super fast. I love this place and can’t wait to come back!!

Wow! Their rotisserie chicken is so good! Tender and juicy, and the flavors penetrate all the way through the meat. Fresh cut fries are great, and the black beans are packed with flavor. Be sure to try their green and yellow sauces, too! The green is a mild pepper sauce, and the yellow seems like a vinegar based sauce. Both are delicious on the chicken. The plantains were really well done, too. Just the right amount of soft sweetness. This is a new lunch spot for me,no doubt.

What a treat! I was not expecting to eat a home cooked meal on my lunch break ! The grilled chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy. I paired it with green beans and plantains. I will definitely return here for some more delicious chicken. Oh and the staff was friendly and courteous too.
