Big Ed's came as a recommendation from a local friend, who suggested for my breakfast order to get the steak with hot cakes, but I subbed for French Toast. The aesthetic is rustic antique and felt cozy. Jack was my server, and he was great. My food came out quickly. I enjoyed my food but my only gripes were that the biscuit tasted flour-y and the steak was very salty, but when I ate it with eggs, it helped mute the seasonings a bit. Overall, I'm very pleased. I'll definitely be back!

Big Ed’s is my favorite classic breakfast in DTR. Nothing fancy just good breakfast classics with a southern influence. The pancake is giant and thick. You’ve been warned. The chicken fried chicken is just about perfect. The omelettes are good and the fried fish is a little unusual for breakfast where I came from but it was certainly delicious when I got it here. Service is friendly, the kitchen is fast even when the place is busy and it always is on weekends

We came in after seeing great reviews and getting a confirmation from a ride share driver. We sat quickly, were greeted in a timely manner, and the food we ordered arrived quickly. The small issue we had was resolved, and our meal was taken care of. We would recommend coming in for friendly service and home style cooking!

My meal was every bit as amazing as it looks. A BONA fide Southern breakfast experience. The atmosphere and ambiance are also top shelf with a ceiling chock full of curiosities and antiques. The service was lightning fast and brimmed with that quintessential "Southern hospitality." The chicken fried chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, while being fall apart tender on the inside. The biscuits were like clouds over Savanah on a summer day. Close to the best breakfast experience I've ever had.

Big Ed's is a chain of Southern restaurants in North Carolina. They serve a variety of comfort food, such as fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, and country ham. I visited the Big Ed's City Market Restaurant in Raleigh, NC. The restaurant is located in a historic building in the heart of downtown Raleigh. The interior is decorated with funky antiques, giving it a laid-back and cozy atmosphere. I ordered the Southern breakfast plate, which comes with two eggs, grits, bacon, sausage, and biscuits. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The biscuits were especially good, they were light and fluffy and perfectly cooked. The service at Big Ed's was friendly and attentive. The waiter was happy to answer my questions about the menu and make recommendations. Overall, I had a great experience at Big Ed's. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would definitely recommend Big Ed's to anyone looking for a good Southern meal. Here are some of the pros and cons of Big Ed's: Pros: Delicious food Generous portions Friendly service Casual atmosphere Affordable prices Cons: Some locations can be crowded Wait times can be long during peak hours Limited vegetarian options Overall, I would give Big Ed's a 4 out of 5 stars. It is a great option for a casual meal with friends or family. Here are some tips for getting the best experience at Big Ed's: Go during off-peak hours to avoid long wait times. Order the Southern breakfast plate! It is delicious and the portions are generous. Don't forget to try the biscuits! They are light and fluffy and perfectly cooked.

I love this place! Used to come here all the time but moved to another county... made the trip and can't wait to do it again. Our waitress Jessica was AMAZING!! I hope the owners notice her πŸ–€πŸ™πŸ½β˜οΈ food is great, wish the western omelet had more egg and less filling but overall a 10+... can't wait to get the other locations... great job Jessica 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Jumping Jellybean! It was my first time visiting this restaurant... but it will not be my last. From the moment I walked in, I could see it was well established with patrons enjoying their meals. The hostess greeted us with a delightful smile and conversation that was warm and down home friendly. Seating was almost non-available because it appeared that everyone was just enjoying the warm morning atmosphere and pleasantries of the environment. Our food arrived hot, and I was excited to dive in. Having completed a fantastic meal, and enjoying the atmosphere. All I can say is, you have got to go by. Pinned this place as the place to go for a fantastic meal. It gets a Gold Medal πŸ… and a pin πŸ“Œ to visit again soon. πŸ˜‰ Yo have got to visit this place. Tell them, you read my review. Ooo yeah! Now, before I go, find someone close by and give them a big hug and let them know just how much you appreciate them. Let them know you love ❀️ them. Life is short, so don't let it pass you by. Be cool and I will chat with you later! Lime and follow. Ciao! Blessings to you ❀️!
