This is one of the best "hidden jewels" of the Raleigh restaurants. It's tucked away in the corner of the Gateway Shopping Center. The staff are friendly and prompt and the food is excellent! The servings exceed expectation and you certainly get what you paid for when getting takeout! Try the beef tips and rice!

Love this place! Great place for quick country lunch. Simple country cooking done exactly the way grandma did it. If you looking for fancy, go somewhere else. If you want good, honest, stick to your ribs meals, this is the place.

The food here is amazing and the service is even better! I will definitely be a regular. I don't know how I missed this gem for the last 15 years I've been driving through this area. So happy I found it!

This is a good spot for breakfast. Good food and friendly servers. The grits were extra good. However all of breakfast was quite tasty. This is a local spot that had been there for many years. Good country cooking.

This place is hidden off Capital Blvd and has really good breakfasts (biscuits, pancakes, eggs, bacon, country ham) and equally good lunches. I had a BLT and didn't expect to be impressed but it was the best BLT I have had in a long time. The green beans are like Mamaw makes and my son loved his hamburger and fries. The place isn't fancy but the prices are so fair you don't mind at all.

My husband and I eat at Gateway a couple of times a week; we love the food and the staff. It is a family-owned/run business that makes you one of them when there, and food served is "from mama's kitchen" ... meat and vegetables and plenty of them ... you won't walk away hungry!

Home cooking at its best ever. Tom, Martina and the whole Gateway Restaurant family prepare the food and treat customers with the love your grandmother showered upon you. Daily specials are not to be missed. The chicken pastry on Thursdays is worth rearranging your schedule. (shopping center undergoing renovations Dec 2018...they are still open though! Park to the side of the building.)
