Food was outstanding! I enjoyed the rib eye sandwich plate and the red velvet cake was to die for. The wait staff was very friendly and the restaurant decor was very inviting , warm and charming. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends!
I FINALLY went here for lunch. My parents have been several times, and have raved about it. I have to say, I am a bit critical when it comes to food as well as service- I myself am a server. But I was so pleasantly surprised by both at Nantucket! Danica, our server, was very nice and on point at all times. I tried the lobster roll, and it was truly one of the best sandwiches I have EVER tasted. They do not skimp on the lobster meat in this roll!! I am seriously craving another right now and just ate there earlier today.
The cakes are always delicious— the strawberry shortcake, carrot, and lemon are worth the drive over, and compared to other places around the area, not cloyingly sweet. The food was also great— the sautéed mixed vegetables were from fresh and not frozen, mashed potatoes were buttery, prime rib was juicy and well seasoned, crab dip had chunks of crab, and the jambalaya pasta was pretty good. The service from the bar was also excellent and not obtrusive.
Our waiter Corey was very friendly. Service level was good. Atmosphere was great. So my friend ordered Turkey burger with baked sweet potatoes. He raved about how good it was and the sweet potato was nice and hot. You could see the steam every time he picked up a fork full. So 5 stars for his food. I decided on New England Fish sandwich which was cod with onion rings. I asked the waiter is it a nice size piece of cod and he said yes. It end up being about six small pieces of cod piled on the bun. The cod itself tasted fresh but no seasoning. Had to hold the bun tight to keep the pieces from falling out. So ended up bringing the rest home and adding some Mambo sauce. So no more fish sandwich for me but will go back to try the turkey burger. The onion rings were great.
I have begun to love this restaurant. Been twice for lunch and dinner. Had the steak and fish both were delicious. The service was perfect their hosts and hostesses go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Will definitely recommend for casual to formal occasions. Families too.
We went with our College age daughter and her friends and had a great experience. The atmosphere was amazing, very warm, fresh and appealing. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The food was really well prepared, exactly as ordered. We enjoyed several of their appetizers and many of the seafood entrees. Everything was right on! I peaked around a bit outside of the dining room and found a wonderful private room (see photos), a huge bar area and the kitchen looked clean and very nicely maintained from looking in over the serving area. Top shelf, highly recommend! Looking forward to dining again when we return to Raleigh.
1st time here. It was very good. Greyson our waiter did a very good job of attending to us. He lead us thru the menu and our taste buds were pleased 😋.
Crab dip delicious, grill salmon and mashed potatoes with steamed broccoli 🥦 😋. Yes I got cake strawberry 🍰 😋😋😋.
Love the cakes here. Last time I went here with my family, the food and drinks were yummy. Service was a little slow but overall, we had a good experience and will come back!
This might be my new favorite place! We came on a whim with our two young kids and had the best experience. The food was absolutely fantastic, service was excellent, and despite being a nicer restaurant it was still so kid-friendly. The kids menus kept them entertained, and the restroom actually had complimentary diapers and wipes, plus a step stool for kids to wash their hands. We were in and out quickly (without being rushed) and got one of their fantastic cake slices to go. Highly recommend!
Had a very nice time. Excellent food, paired with a nice bottle of wine. The seafood dip/ appitizer with pita bread was so good! The portion was perfect for two! I definately would recommend it! We, had our meals at the bar, our choice. The lady bartender, was very nice and accommodating.
Food was outstanding, and the service was great. Waitress was on point and made sure to constantly check on us and even joked and made small tall. Will definitely visit again. Cakes are outstanding.
Delicious New England fare... We tried the Crab Dip, Clam Chowder, Holiday Surf n Turf and Stuffed Tilapia... Hard to pick a single favorite as each dish was special and delicious in its own way... We were celebrating our anniversary and our server served us some lovely triple chocolate cake on the house... Immensely satisfied with the service and taste of the spread... Would love going back to try some more items on the menu...
