It was a chilly Thursday afternoon. We were looking for a good lunch spot for a group. Came across this classic shoppe that serves unique meatballs.
The menu is simple yet some great options. We had the buffalo cauliflower, which was a great starter and next level amazing.
We all ordered different variety of meatballs some sliders, some multiple balls with sauce and a bread to dip. The spicy pork was by far the best.
They also had some tasty Mac and cheese labeled the OG.
We didn’t grab any drinks, but they do have a huge bar and half priced whiskey on Wednesday’s.
A downtown Raleigh staple. Highly recommend.
This place is great!! I got the Sliders so I could try different flavors. They were all great. The salad was pretty fab, too. You can't beat Whiskey Wednesday for 1/2 whiskey drinks. The 1882 OF was delicious. Oh, our waiter was really good too. Very friendly and attentive. He told us about the specials right away. The other waitress did not tell another patron. Definitely would recommend!!

This was my first time visiting here last week so I came in got greeted and sat at the bar. It was a tough decision to find something but I got the 2 buffalo meatballs with ghost pepper cheese and Parmesan as my sauce and a side came with it so I chose the market salad. The salad was sooooo good I ate that first before I touched the meatballs. It had strawberries, pecans, goat cheese, arugula with a vinaigrette tossed on it. The meatballs were huge and spicy but it was delicious.
Mathew was our bar tender the last time and time before that. The experience is phenomenal from the moment you walk in to the time you leave. It's a little $$ but you get what you Paid for. Everything is always hot and delicious. If you don't enjoy it, if something is wrong they are mire then happy to fix it. A great place for the night out but they are always busy. Make a reservation! Adam, the manager is phenomenal as well. The joy he shows and the fact he checks in is the reason I came back and bought my family.
Found this place by accident and wow were we impressed. The staff is friendly and attentive. Great cocktails too. The star of the show is the food. All high quality, amazing flavors, very creative and full blown comfort food. Be sure to call ahead if you want a table but definitely add this to your list of places to try.
Ended up here on a Saturday night with no reservations, but they had 3 “first come first served” spots at the bar for our party. The food was delicious. The bruschetta was my favorite - such good flavor profiles mixing together. Enjoyed the meatballs and chorizo Mac and cheese, but will try the sliders next time to mix and match the meats and sauces! It’s a fun stop in downtown Raleigh.
The sliders were awesome, loved each combo I made. The daily risotto was Spinach and Feta which was delightful as well! Would recommend, will be back for sure, need more garlic bread too.
The service was wonderful, the food was delicious for the most part. The drinks were strong which is always a plus. I would definitely return. Highly recommend the fried ravioli and the pork meatball with parmesan sauce.

If you wish to treat yourself to a dynamite meal you must eat at the Oak City Meatball Shoppe in Raleigh North Carolina. Their mouthwatering balls of meat lathered in a sauce of your choosing is a perfect way to kick off the night, or fuel your lunchtime.
I enjoyed the traditional balls, with pesto sauce, with a side of spaghetti with blue cheese cream sauce.
Only two drawbacks:
1: Its the only restaurant I know of, so yes they need to have more around the US.
2: For those with gentle bums they may find the seating a bit hard as its either your choice of wood or metal seating.

Overall, I love this place and hope to go back if not find another one elsewhere in the world.

Y’all. Eat here. It is a delightfully different gem in Raleigh.
Don’t miss the burrata appetizer. It is so tasty! Also of note is the parm cream sauce. The risotto was creamy without being over cooked. Add to that the delicious cocktails and this place is a winner!appeiz
