Cote's Portland Cafe

I've been working upstairs from Cote's for a year and a half and had only heard wonderful things about them, so I had been looking forward to trying them out for the first time. HOLY COW. This sandwich was SO good that I immediately had to come here to write a review. This was a chicken Caesar salad on their honey wheat bread (custom order placed online). I can't get over how delicious this was. I could eat 6 more, but I guess I'll have to wait until next week. Don't hesitate to get to Cote's, the price is right for the gigantic, wonderful sandwich you get out of it!

Great spot to grab lunch. Unique sandwich options as well as classics, soups, and salads. Tried an adventurous grilled cheese special and was amazed at how good it was! Cookies are excellent, too. Prices are great for what you get and service was friendly even through they were very busy at lunch time on a weekday.

I have only been here once so far but will come back for sure. I was looking for a place downtown with a salad bar and soup options and found Cote’s right next door to my office building. They also have many breakfast options, burritos, and more. I ended up ordering the French onion soup grilled cheese sandwich and it was SO good. So. Good. I’ll get salad next time (maybe).

Absolutely delicious! Quick bite to eat, take out or sit but seating can be limited. Salad bar, soups and delicious grilled sandwiches. Breakfast too!! Everything is well stocked and clean. The owner and family/workers are so pleasant. Well priced. The hours can be difficult for those of us who are not close by, but I stop in when I can.

Can’t ask for better customer service! The owners remember your name if you’re a regular and they are always friendly! Food is also great and reasonably priced. Of the many times I’ve been here, there was only one time my order was wrong, only because the online ordering site wasn’t working properly. The next time I came in, not only did the owner remember me, but he also offered me a free coffee as a courtesy for messing up my order the previous time. This was in addition to giving me the wrong sandwich for free and quickly making the correct order! Definitely one of my favorite lunch spots in Portland.
