Great little coffee shop with outside and inside seating. Love the book selection for a cozy afternoon reading session. Their teas make a great addition on a cold winter afternoon.

I always get the chocolate chip banana bread here. Thee coffee is first rate and the location is right on a great bike route from North Portland into Forest Park.

Always a good and consistent go to. Seasonal drink specials are always interesting, and they're Fruit Punch beans are some of the best beans in town. Baked goods are okay, but generally come for the coffee which never misses.

The coffee here is amazing and so is the atmosphere! I bought Dahlia tubers here and am on a crazy learning journey. I definitely recommend taking a look at the pastry case-- i like the (meat or veggies) foldovers. The quiche looks bomb I just make my own-- theirs looks filling and well worth the cost. My favorite thing here is the cold brew but there are no shortage of non dairy milks and other beverages etcetera. There is always an abundance of people chatting quietly, reading, meeting, working, and popping in. Sometimes I see a line but they keep their bar efficient.
If there is one thing that could be worked on here (15% of the time) when I am in work clothes and not dolled up I get heavily ignored as the only or next person in line and it isn't because the milk is steaming for someone else-- I should not be treated differently based on what I am wearing and sometimes if I'm working I leave the place feeling like I look dumpy or like I do not have money (which I do-- I switched from Two Strokes over here because I am a neighbor). Customers should always come first-- not training someone to restock milk or sweep (yeah last experience was extra bad I waited for a long while and I left some community information with the owner for no follow up I assume because the barista could not be bothered). If I see that barista again I'm gonna head over to Two Stroke if I am ignored. I ask your employees not make their jobs their personal playground for vetting people-- coffee does grow on trees and regular customers do not. I used to come and get coffee several times a week but I have been making it at home waiting to see if I can catch a nicer barista. Cringe! Please talk to your employees about ignoring people literally at the counter while living in their own world on the clock-- they are paid to be present. Most of your staff rocks.

Love love this place! My only complaint is the $1.50 additional charge for milk alternative😳 we should be encouraging people to use milk alternatives, not making it difficult to add an environmentally conscious option or for those who are lactose intolerant---turning it into almost a $7 coffee...which is crazy!

A truly wonderful coffee shop that roasts their own beans and bakes their own delicious baked goods! Outdoor seating and indoor seating. Smiling baristas and great service. You must try their amazing bakery offerings! As if it couldn't get better, one of their bakery delivery drivers even once gave me a ride home after hearing I had two flat tires on my bike (they are located on a very popular cycling route) and ran out of tire tubes to repair. Thank you, Isaac!

Nice coffee shop in the neighborhood. Coffee was good, chocolate donut was a little dry. Lots of people on computers and chatting; cool vibe. The little room had a table that was reserved but there was an open spot next to the window but in the sun. I kicked it in an easy chair by a floor-to-ceiling bookcase that was well-stocked. There is outdoor seating on both sides of the building. Will definitely be back when it's not so warm. A hot cup o' joe when it's cool and drizzly out sounds sublime.

Fantastic. It’s very likely the best coffee in St. Johns. The atmosphere is top notch as well, and quiet good doggies are welcome! I had the beach brew after a run and am so wowed that I wrote a good review! 😀 👍

This is a fantastic neighborhood shop. It does not have a lot of parking (use the street). And the outdoor seating area leaves much to be desired. But, once inside, it’s like a comfortable hug from a friend
You know this is a serious coffee shop because they only offer one size of cappuccino. Good on them for sticking to the traditional ratio with no apologies. They have a good selection of baked treats including vegan options. My only disappointment is that non-dairy milk carries a $1.50 surcharge. That’s not cool

I think the most important thing to start off with here is the coffee. I am a light roast person, so if you like black coffee that tastes sweet and acidic as plums or clean and tea-like, they have a roast for you. They have their espresso dialed in perfectly, and their drip hasn't failed me either (but I always drink espresso at a café because I don't make it at home).
So far I've had 6 of 8 of the roasts that are currently listed on their website and the one caffeinated roast that is remaining is currently resting on my counter. Their descriptions are mostly spot on with at least one of the three flavors they list being very noticeable at the least. Their roasts are a little more on the developed side of light (lean a little close to medium) but they are very solid and offer interesting flavor profiles. Also, I should mention that for the quality of the coffee, it's a great price, compared to their competition, it's a little unfair really. Even better prices at the cafe. The roaster is more than happy to talk to you about the source of the beans and what goes into roasting them.
on to the food. I haven't had anything other than pastries there (sweet rolls, and veggie turnover) but dough is so light, delicate and just the right sweetness that it's truly a treat to stop in.
The staff are more than friendly. They truly, and I mean the word, are involved in the love of the coffee, which only adds to the overall experience.
If you couldn't tell already, I'm in love with this place, probably more than one person should be. I just wished I lived next door, but in that case, my wallet would be worn thin. I can't wait to come back when a new roast comes in, the beans are very truly special, I won't be surprised if they sell out quickly.
