Dreamy dreamy spot for a slice of cake and a coffee! I love to come here and catch up with friends or sit with a book or my laptop. It’s impossible to be in a bad mood at Palio :) the employees are so nice and they have a good selection of dessert! Plus the view of the rose garden is great, I also love that there’s outdoor seating. It’s also a beautiful spot to look at fall foliage.

I like this cafe at any time of year, but during cold weather, it's my favorite spot. It's cozy and appealing and a great place to work. They make great lattes and mochas, but their drinks are on the expensive side ($5.75 for a 12 oz mocha). Their quiche and savory tarts are delicious. Recommend!!

Such a cool spot in Ladd's Addition to get an excellent coffee and relax. So chill and nice people make this a great place to check out.

Lovely place to stop and chill during a walk in Ladds Addition! Swung by here this past week with a friend for a latte and iced tea. Service was super fast, considering there was only one employee working. I had a latte which was delicious (and made pretty quickly) while my pal had the Ruby Nectar iced tea. The iced tea didn't need any sweetener and was super refreshing! If I didn't need my caffeine fix for the day I would have tried to swap. Great place to visit for decent coffee and a phenomenal place to walk!

I've found the perfect coffee shop after spending eight years in the Portland area! Palio has a terrific selection of coffee and tea (rather than lacking in one or the other, which is usually the case) and there is a wide variety of seating. Great window seats for daydreaming, little nooks for studying, and some comfortable areas to sit and chat with friends. The music is low key, which is crucial and helps keep a calm and welcoming vibe. The late hours are good if you need to study, meet up with someone, or just need to get out for a while without doing anything extravagant. The service was top notch. I haven't tried any of the food yet, but I look forward to it next time. Even though I only have 6 months left in Portland, I'm definitely returning to Palio!

First time in experiencing Palio and I have to say they are fantastic. The desert was very good and their latte's are so smooth tasting. Possibly the best latte I've had, ever. Not to mention the location and atmosphere is simply calming. I highly recommend this place.

I come here all the time! It's a nice place to stretch out and get work done, especially if you have a few people. A little out of the way, but that's part of the charm!

This place has good food and custom beverages with a nice homy feel. I have been meeting a small group of men there twice a month for over a year now.

I've been going here for decades. The customer service has been up and down over the years, but the coffee and deserts are always awesome. I love the experience of sitting in a warm cafe on a rainy afternoon with steamed windows and a hot drink in my hands.

You know the coffee shops you see in the movies, where the characters are all perfectly dressed, speak in hushed whispers and everyone's wearing a scarf for no real reason? That's Palio. It's like stepping into someone's elegant library; it has an earthy relaxed vibe that so many coffee shops seem to have lost post 1998. There's more seating than you'd expect from the outside, which makes it the perfect spot to meet a friend for mimosas (or hand tamped coffee!) or spend a rainy afternoon reading that book you swore you'd finish one day...
