Cloud City Ice Cream

Wow! By far the best ice cream I have ever had ! The cookie dough is the absolute best! And the service was the best I’ve come across since being in the USA, Talula was amazing, so generous with her scoops, and recommendations were 100%! Super friendly and loved a chat which is so great. Made to feel very welcome. I’ll be back!

This place had absolutely delicious flavors of which you’ll probably want to try all of them or ask for a description from the clerks who run the store. I was delighted to see sorbets/vegan options really and had a very interesting golden milk latte one. I look forward to coming back to trying more flavors. My friend had one with dairy in it and it was fabulous, the caramel was so good, gourmet depth of flavor, burnt.

Line very long on Saturday night, though this is to be expected. Got the “better than therapy“ which was fine. I also got the salted cookie dough, which was an ice variation on standard cookie dough, ice cream’s. Also sampled the ice cream with the circus animal cookies in it, I wish I had more of the circus animal cookies and/or their flavor. Staff seemed nice, though their operation seemed a bit haphazard (not as streamlined as some other organizations in town like salt and straw)— which may explain why there was such a back up in the line. Overall seemed like a nice alternative to some of the more popular ice cream places in Portland, I will be coming back to try some of the other flavors. Definitely seemed like a better price point too.

This is probably the best ice cream place that I have ever been to. I had 'earl grey blueberry' and it was so good. Their portion is big. The 'regular' has two big scoops that are too much for me. Will order a small one instead next time. Definitely will go again. It’s cheaper than other ice cream places.

I went here for the first time and ordered a split scoop of salted caramel cookie dough and lemon black pepper marionberry jam. It was good but not the best ice cream I’ve had. They do offer a large variety of unique flavors and the guy working was very friendly and let me sample as many flavors as I wanted.

I think Cloud City is the best ice cream this side of the river. I said what I said! The line is never that long, the flavors are tasty and special, and the decor is really cute. There’s a few tables inside and out but on a nice day it can be hard to find a seat. Try the roasted banana or Sasquatch tracks.
