I've never been disappointed at this hole in the wall gem of a resturant. From my numerous visits, I seem to have found a dish that I can't seem to get enough of, which is quite rare due to my natural instinct to try new things. The pad cashew noodles are among one of my favorite things in life. They are a perfect mix of texture, and uncommon flavours that you would not expect based off of looks. The other thing I find great about this place is their attention to detail, and the constancy. Definitly give this place a shot if your in the area and need an affordable thai dining experience. The owners are also great people, very friendly and inviting to their humble kitchen.
I have ordered from Thai Touch multiple times now. They are the sole Thai restaurant in Pittsburgh serving Kao Soy, one of my favorite dishes. Food items have been well prepared and in ample quantity. Spicing is well suited to the various dishes and can be tempered based on a diner's preference. The Thom Kha soup is fresh, has a nice amount of lemongrass and coconut milk, and is the perfect dish for the cold weather in Pittsburgh. Happy to have this new restaurant in our community.
The food was excellent. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao (or Drunken Noodles) with shrimp & they were delicious. At times this dish is prepared so spicy to the point that it is difficult to eat (for me, personally) but I asked for minimal to no spice & they were perfect. The restaurant is very small. We made reservations & were the only ones there at first but several tables became occupied & a lot of people ordered take out throughout our visit. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant!
Great pad Thai. Really awesome service. We sat outside at a cute little yellow table. We people watched and enjoyed our really well made pad Thai. It's byob:) perfect meal. It's a must try.
Best Pad Thai Around!. I cannot describe to you how good their Pad Thai is compared to others that I've had. Without a doubt, the best I've had so far and you are missing out if you haven't tried it.
Just tried Thai touch kitchen for the first time, I ordered the fried dumpling appetizer and pad cashew noodles with chicken. The food was ready exactly when promised. When I arrived the atmosphere was warm, and the staff was very nice; I was greeted as if I was an old friend. The restraunt is in a very small space; I think the living room in my apartment is bigger. When I got home the food was hot and very tasty. The dumplings were excellent, I was expecting them to be similar to a Chinese dumpling, but they were much better; a little bit smaller but crispy and delicious. The pad cashew noodles were excellant, the noodles veggies and chicken were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was just right, not too much and not too little. It was just a little spicier than I expected, but was still very tasty. I will definitely by coming back!
Excellent red curry chicken ( heat level of 4 was perfect) outstanding service, somewhat small dining area, about 5 tables for dine in.
We just recently moved to Pittsburgh and love Thai food. We ended up eating here 3 times that first week. Amazing flavor in their dishes. Be warned, they take their spice levels seriously. 7/10 is hot! Overall, amazing food with great flavor. Try the basil or garlic dish with shrimp!
I love Thai food, and I've tried a lot of Thai in and around the city. Thai Touch Kitchen is my favorite Thai place, and it's not even a contest. If you love spicy food, this place is made for you! Their spice scale runs 1-10, and the dishes pack a serious heat punch! The restaurant is so small you might walk pass without even noticing it, but that would be a serious disservice to your taste buds. Stop, eat, and enjoy the good dishes found here.
I get takeout from here frequently as I live nearby, and am grateful to have such a quality Thai restaurant in the neighborhood! I’ve eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants in Pittsburgh and this is one of the best (maybe even the best). I am a big fan of the curries while my spouse always orders the fried rice - we’re never disappointed! They don’t hold back the heat so choose your spice level accordingly.
Went to lunch with my wife yesterday and she agreed, for the first time on our visits to PA trying different restaurants, this was our fourth, we had a great meal. My wife had the basil entree, I had the eggplant. The server/cook was very pleasant and brought us our food piping hot from the grill. Look forward to coming back to try other items on the menu. Our meal was $34 together, just water to drink. On the way home today we stopped at a Firehouse Subs and paid $29 for a two subs, one soda, and one bag of chips.
Yay!
Wow!
A GOOD Thai restaurant in the South Hills. Finally! Can you tell I'm excited? Yep.
The place is small and will only hold 20ish people at a pinch. But thr flavors are jig and bold. The way they are supposed to be. Between the Tom Yum soup, the Somtom salad, the curry noodles, and the Taro appetizers we got the full cycle of sweet, sour, spicy, and crunchy that is the hallmark of the cuisine.
I cannot wait to come back.
Thai Touch not only has delicious food but the staff is so kind and helpful! The wonton soup was so colorful and delicious - it hit the spot on a cold day when I wasn’t feeling well! I will always choose Thai Touch for my Thai cravings!
I absolutely love their food. It's authentic Thai, delicious and healthy. A great place for vegetarians/vegans (and meat eaters) to get some amazing food. Their vegetables are always cooked perfectly.
The yellow curry with a spice level of 4 was just perfect for me. While enjoying this amazing lunch with a few colleagues, Kenny G started playing. This took me way back to high school. Great experience, and great food. I highly recommend
Tried this restaurant for the first time as takeout tonight. Probably my favorite Thai restaurant of the 4 I've tried on that drag from Mt Lebanon into Dormont. Wish I would have taken pictures of the Crab Rangoon, Pad Kee Mao, Panang Curry, and Thai Basil w/Chicken. Staff at the shop was super nice too!
