I'll start with the beautiful building and the architecture that is amazing, in my opinion. When actually taking the time to look around at all the features from the flooring to the intricate detailing on the walls, woodwork, and ceilings, it is truly something to be appreciated. As far as the symphony goes, it was amazing and very well done. My one complaint would be that people continued to enter the show 20 minutes past the start, which was quite disruptive, in my opinion. Obviously, we had to stand up and move to allow others to get to their seats to sit down, people were standing up in front of us hindering our view, flashlights were being pointed around to find the seat numbers, there was talking as they were entering and looking around etc. I feel that you should know to get there early to find your seat and out of respect for others who want to enjoy the show uninterrupted you plan accordingly. I would have expected that perhaps a 5 minute buffer was acceptable, but by the time it was 7:20, I was actually a bit annoyed that people were still coming in, to be honest. Other than that, this was an awesome experience watching one of my all-time favorite movies along with listening to a live performance of the symphony playing the music. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who loves music and movies as it was unique.

We went for Handel's Messiah the place was decorated for Christmas and was very beautiful. The hall is very impressive and a wonderful venue for the huge chour singing and the Pittsburgh symphony playing. It was more than wonderful it became magic, God's spirit was present. Don't miss an opportunity to see this concert should it return again. It left an impression on me that will last a lifetime.

Everything about the experience was wonderful. Perfect acoustical venue, great views from the seats, and a side courtyard with a fountain. Eady parking. And the orchestra hit its stride immediately, with a resounding interpretation of the classics. Perfect Sunday afternoon

Went to see the Pittsburgh symphony orchestra play music to The Nighmare before Christmas. Outstanding, they did not miss a beat. Beautiful building inside and out.

Beautiful old Symphony Opera House in downtown Pittsburgh. I've been coming here for many years. Amazing facility. I have a preference for the balcony rather than the first floor, but either way it's a wonderful place to get your dose of culture. Very enjoyable.

Everyone needs to patronize the arts at least once per year, and this has to be one of the premier venues to do it in the city. The place is gorgeous, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the drinks are... Well, expensive, but not unexpectedly solo, and there's a few places to get served so the line is never long. The courtyard is also maybe one of the nicest looking gardens in the downtown space, and I really appreciate its blend of natural scenery, man-made sculptures, and skyscraper surroundings.

Go to pso website. Search events calendar. Click and buy tickets on balcony. You can pay more to sit on the near stage, but only do that if you love the show, all of the music here sounds amazing, sumphony is BERY VERY harmonic. After six shows, I prefer the higher up you are the more than music compounds as it rises to the balcony. They have very affordable shows called disrupt. There are two more this season. Grab tickets go early by drinks. Socialize, dress is pretty good. Nobody looks disrespectful and some people dress up like it’s their prom. Great variety. *Nick Offerman was awful can’t get our money back (or his cursive language out of our heads.). So many open seats around us because people left. 🤣😔 Wish they did more collabs between rockstars and symphony. Such a beautiful way to communicate the talents and skills of symphony with newer and larger audiences.

Had an amazing experience at Heinz Hall seeing John Williams and Anne-Sophie Mutter. The venue is stunning. Barbara, the concierge working that evening was extremely helpful and accommodating when my husband and I ran into an issue. She went above and beyond, and we so appreciated her.
