This is the best pizza I ever had in my life. I started getting it back when I went to Pitt (2009) and everytime I got back I always make a point to stop in for their late night deal (<$7 for a fresh large cheese?!)
When I was a child in the 70s my family use to order food from here. I moved out of the city. When I walked in it reminded me of my childhood. The pizza was good. Just how I remembered it
What's to hate? Good pizza and value priced. A few coworkers and I dine there for lunch and they always have a special. Today was a small one topping pizza and fountain drink for $6.96 tax included. And their Scillian Pizza is great too! Eat it up ... yum!
I really like Sorrento's pizza. I don't think it's the best I've had, but their deep dish is tasty. They have about 12 booths and tables of you want to dine in, but the shop is very plain. There are some things one ought to know though going in. 1) If you just want a 'slice', they only come in 4"x5" Sicilian deep dish square cuts. 2) there is no garbage can in the patron-accessible area - I have no idea why that is; you have to give your garbage to the counter staff. 3) their delivery hours are oddly specific; be sure to check their site before assuming they deliver at a particular time.
Quick, pleasant, and a decent price. The food is not bad either. I would prefer my pizza cheese to be golden brown and relishes but there cheese is not cook until it reaches this state.
If you're looking for a restaurant with 5-star service, an excellent atmosphere, or fast food, this is probably not the restaurant for you. But Sorrento's is really good for what it is: a restaurant that serves good, greasy pizza at cheap prices to drunk college students at midnight on a Friday night. That said, Sorrento's is my go-to when I'm looking for cheap, good tasting pizza in Oakland.
First time here. Had the best experience to come after school and sit down and relax. At great prices for xl for only 12.50$ which for most places you can’t beat that. Looking forward to coming back for more.
The ranch that flows out of this establishment was crafted by god himself and consuming it sends the body into a state of nirvana. A BAC of 0.15 is required to enter which seems outrageous, but if this rule wasn't enforced the line would stretch all the way downtown. This is the ONLY place to get pizza in Oakland regardless of what any Asstoons fans might say.
Fantastico. Actually the most wonderful pizza, great price, v yummy, and in walking distance; what more could you ask for? super duper friendly, great conversationalists, and they feed you. They feed you when no one else in tHe world cares. IF you want pizza, they're there for you. No matter what. HTey will be there for you. Dat bbq chix no bac is my ish doe. brb getting pizza now.
I find the sauce to have a bit of zing, in a good way. Would I go again? Yes. Good pizza the carryout special is an exceptionally good price
