We have been coming to Allegro for many years now and we absolutely love them! They have delicious breakfast sandwiches and their cookies are my absolute favorite. They also make the best bread I’ve ever tasted. The staff is so kind and put all of their love into their food and service. We buy all of our baked goods here!!

Very happy with our pastries. Staff was knowledgeable about the allergens in their food (I must eat dairy- and soy protein-free), which was amazing because that's hard to find. That I am able to eat almost everything they offer is just... well, not to be dramatic, but it's glorious. I'll be back to try some breads and sandwiches another day!

Amazing all vegan bakery. Cute little corner spot on a busy street. They make their own vegan butter here too! As far as sweets go -I got a chocolate croissant: flaky, light, perfectly sweet! The cinnamon roll was bigger than my hand and absolutely divine. I also got a raspberry danish and double chocolate chip cookie, will update soon on those. For the savory, the cashew butter was absolutely delicious, so creamy and rich. We got both an artichoke and onion focaccia, that was the absolute perfect balance and a rosemary and (Parmesan-maybe)focaccia . It was absolutely mouthwatering. 10/10 will definitely go back.

They have absolutely wonderful baguette. They also make this wonderful focaccia with artichoke hearts, amazing croissants (especially because they're vegan, so they get the beautiful layering without butter!), and their cinnamon rolls are large and delicious too. Great place!

a wonderful, fully vegan bakery gem in Squirrel Hill! my vegan family and I vacation in Pittsburgh once a year and are so grateful to have this option! many delicious treats, great sandwiches, and helpful staff! the best time to go is early in the morning, we went around 9 am and they were fully stocked! we also placed an advanced order so we don’t miss out on any delicious treats! highly recommend

My brother loves to visit this bakery when he comes home from FL. He is vegan. He raves about this place! I finally stopped by myself today & ordered a cinn roll, blueberry danish, and sour dough bread! Literally fire!!!!! So good!!!!! I will be a customer for life now! Can not wait to try all of their items they offer.

Despite being a vegan bakery, Allegro produces baked goods that are more delicious than their non-vegan counterparts. Not an easy feat, given how integral eggs are to structure. The vegetable sourdough is bursting with flavors of nature—I’d take this over a Sicilian slice any day. In the morning, the hamantashen retain their crispy edges. The cruffins are a new experience; despite being eggless, they feel eggier than a standard croissant, more like a brioche or a churro, with a brittle crunch reminiscent of a sfogliatelle. Even if you’re not a vegan, this bakery is worth visiting.

This place was insanely delicious! Took my friends here and they loved everything they tried. They have sandwiches, bread and pastries. Everything is vegan but don’t let that stop you from trying their food. Will visit every time I go to Pittsburgh.

Great tasting stuffed sourdough. I really liked the mushroom and artichoke toppings on it. I also picked up the hamansten, chocolate croissant, apricot rugelach and chocolate rugelach. The rugelachs have nuts in it so be careful if you have an allergy. It wasn’t advertised on the placard

Stopped in while traveling. Cute little place with lots of breads and baked goods. I tried an avocado sandwich on the recommendation of the person at the counter. It was delicious! I loved how fresh the bread and veggies were. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in town to try more of the menu.
