Not sure how anyone could rate Zenith anything but 5 stars! First of all, it's a bargain! Sunday brunch is $11.50 (I think) for a beverage, buffet of cold food including a smorgasbord of colorful fruit, veggie, pasta, potato, and various other salads, breads, grape leaves, etc. and 10+ cakes and pie PLUS you get to choose a hot meal from about 6 different options (which change weekly), I usually opt for the pancakes of French toast but the seitan, burritos, etc have all been delicious. Second, did I mention it's all vegan? (Unless otherwise noted on the hot meal menu) but not try hard vegan or tasteless vegan, everything is delicious and carnivores, vegetarians, and vegans all appreciate the options! Third, it's also a vintage shop and the atmosphere is like non other! Definitely a hidden (or maybe not so hidden) gem of Pittsburgh and vegan or not you should check it out!!

It’s sort of our thing to try a new vegan restaurant each weekend in Pittsburgh and when we travel across the country. What can I say, Zenith is probably the most unique restaurant I’ve gone to thus far. When you walk in, you are in an antique store but hidden within is a very quirky, and quaint dining area. I loved looking around at all of the decorations, and antiques that lined the ceiling and walls. It was really nice to have so much to look at and study while waiting for our food. The menu is just as unique and sticks with the theme. Any choice I could have made would have been excellent but I chose the Jerk Portobello Mushrooms, and my boyfriend chose the Veggie Melt. I snuck some of his and he mine. Both dishes were OUTSTANDING and mine was out of this world with flavor. The components used, pairing sweet and tart with spicy and savory but having it mesh in such a perfect way was just exceptional. The dinner, and the service was outstanding, and the dessert was the cherry on top. We will be back, especially for Sunday brunch. This is a gem in Pittsburgh, and everyone should try it out.

Delightful veg restaurant always with at least one hearty gluten free option, stage in an an eccentrically decorated antique shop. Food was great, environment was very good roomy and interesting. Lots of big tables! Their menu changes weekly so check back often!

This place is worth a visit! Such an eclectic atmosphere, and the food was delicious! Made with so much love. Menu is all vegan - 10/10 recommend the cabbage soup and whatever cake they have available.

*CASH ONLY* Everyone in our party had to get money out after arriving. So just a heads up! Food was good! Lots and lots of interesting antiques to look at. A bit dark as far as lighting. The staff was attentive. I do wish there was a separation between the antiques and the restaurant area. Definitely a must try if you’re Vegan or Vegetarian. The Vegan Crack ( peanut thai noodle salad ) was excellent!!

The best meal I had in DC. The food has that home made with love feeling and their pricing is shockingly fair. I can't recommend this place enough. I also haven't had cake in many years and was finally given the chance thanks to their vegan cake. Definitely grab a piece!

I was visiting Pittsburgh on vacation this week and stumbled upon Zenith while wandering around the South Side while my family was taking in a Steelers game at a local bar. This place is a Brigadoon-like experience in an otherwise typical downtown area filled with bars, tattoo shops, sandwich places, etc. I got brunch since it was Sunday and the food was incredible. It can be difficult finding good quality vegetables and vegetarian food when traveling but Zenith provided and then some. You’d never guess there is a cute little restaurant in the back of an antique store but as soon as you open the door the smells of good food draw your in. If I lived anywhere near South Side I’d be a regular for sure! Love you guys and congrats on your 20 years of business!

So far my best vegan experience in Pittsburgh!! Everything was full of flavor and very fairly priced!! I'm blown away!! Small menu, taste is prioritized over presentation but I'd prefer my food to taste better than it looks rater than looking fantastic and tasting bland. If you're in the area a enjoy yummy food in a funky environment don't miss out

An odd concept that works really well. I’d been here once before years ago and I don’t remember the food being this good. The entree was delicious though entirely unnecessary. The brunch buffet is well worth the cost alone, and on top of that you get an entree and coffee or tea.

On a scale of documentaries to romances, The Zenith is Alice in Wonderland. With an eclectic and thoughtfully laid-out collection of items sprawling from floor to high ceilings, The Zenith welcomes guests into an alternate reality. Walk deeper into The Zenith, and you'll arrive to the restaurant portion of the shop where they offer a weekly menu of Vegan and Vegetarian options. My partner and I ordered the Peanut Noodle Salad, Wedding Soup, Red Bean Tacos, and the Ratatouille. Every bite offered an explosion of flavor, and we were well pleased. Service was wonderful, but it's good to note that this is a more homey, mom-and-pop style restaurant. It's comfortable and intimate all at once. Pro Tip: Walk all the way into the back because they usually seat the far dining room before the mid-dining room.

I love Zenith! I’ve been coming here for years, and it remains one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. I love everything about it: the whimsy, the food, the ambience… I could go on forever. The aesthetic of this place is what I dream my home will be someday. If you don’t go for the food (which you should), just go and walk around their awesome vintage store. Everything there, food and items, is affordable. The music played aloud is great. The food itself is fantastic. I dream about their grape leaves. My friend had a potato leek soup here two years ago that she still talks about to this day. For my last visit, I got a (vegan) roast beef sandwich. It was a taste I haven’t had since I became vegetarian almost six years ago! It tasted like an Eat n Park sandwich on a Sunday afternoon with your grandma. Thank you to Zenith for returning a long lost flavor to my taste buds! PS I absolutely love your mismatched silverware and fancy goblets.

Unique place for a brunch buffet. You order an item off the menu (pic attached) and the buffet has salads, pastas, fruits, noodles and pastas. The off buffet item was by itself so filling and the items on the buffet would make your tummy REALLY FULL. Eight different cake varieties for dessert and they were all yummy. Except for the scrambled eggs everything else is vegetarian/vegan. Its actually cheaper for the food varities it offer. Place is beautifully creepy in my opinion. Must dine/experience if you are in Pittsburgh. Oh and one more thing. They charge 3.5% surcharge on cards so dont forget to take cash.
