We loved this place. A real Philly Irish pub. The bartenders were great. The food was all homemade, even the onion rings and the mashed potatoes. Be sure to ask if Richard is making the food. Apparently he’s been working at the restaurant for over 30 years making the food from scratch. I would definitely return here.
Good, reasonably priced local watering hole. Cajun fries could have used a little more seasoning .grilled cheese & French onion soup were good.
Lovely bar, good food, good list of beers (6-ish drafts, many more bottled), and excellent, attentive, friendly service
definitely will return ☺
The perfect neighborhood bar. The drinks are great, the food rarely disappoints, and staff is top notch. If you’re looking for recommendations, the wings, quesadillas, and shepherds pie are worth trying. If you can’t find parking next door, you can always find easy parking on the Walnut St bridge.
A genuine Irish pub in the heart of Philly. Ran across this quaint pub while exploring the city. Nick was great, greeted us as soon as we walked in and was very helpful. His pub had a very local feel and seems like a great place to catch the game and have a few beers with friends after work.
Very friendly staff here. You are greeted when you walk in the door with immediate service. Prompt service all around. It's not uncommon to be called hun or sweetie by the staff. I took it as an endearing gesture. Not a true sports bar. They have multiple TVs but not advertised to get all Football or baseball games. If you are looking for an out market game, try a sports bar in the area.
Friendly staff. Good vibes. Food is reasonably priced, but the Fish and Chips resembles a kid's meal. The fish looks like it's just a store-bought frozen breaded cod, which I wouldn't pay $18 for. For the same money, you can get actually homemade beer-battered cod in other Irish pubs in the city.
Can not recommend Bonners enough for an event - threw a 30th birthday and Dan was amazing to work with. Very responsive while planning and also that night couldn’t have been more helpful to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff was also very friendly / good energy to be around and made sure we were taken care of. We had plenty of space and everyone had such a good time.
Highly suggest doing an event here and would do one again!
Brilliant find in Philadelphia located near the train station.
As tourists from the UK, we were made to feel very welcome in the bar by both the 2 lovely waitresses and fellow people in the bar.
On top of that the Guinness was very good and the atmosphere was positive.
Very much recommend coming here for anyone wanting a trip in the city.
Standard pub food but stellar service. I popped in on St. Patrick’s Day and got prompt, friendly service. The Guinness was cold and the pot pie serviceable.
