Went here for a few drinks and to watch the eagles game. The dude behind the bar was super kind and incredibly busy. The second female bartender spent almost all the time on her phone, with a male friend and did a bare minimum of serving customers once every ten minutes. I didn’t get the male bartenders name but I have been in the same situation and he’s handling it the best that anyone can. Would probably recommend hiring people for skill and a sense of urgency in the industry other than looks. Good place to watch the games, great Philly crowd and good beer prices.

My boyfriend and I came through here and we were quickly given a table. I highly recommended the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and waffle fries. The waitress suggested a type of beer I had never tried before and it ended up being a delicious suggestion. We'll likely have this restaurant in mind for the next time we come through town.

Let it be known.... the best Philly cheese steak I've ever had! Super great staff! Way better than those two Ying yang across the street running their steak stands like a food cart! Skip the lines and long waits, eat here, and you can have a cocktail too! Oh ya, and lots of big tv's to enjoy your sports viewing!

I love this place the Philly Cheese steaks are so much better than the ones near by that are famas. I wish it was busier as ever time I come in very slow for the area. This place could be a gold mine and a great experience for anyone that would visit. Great happy hours. Tuesday $1 dogs and beers.

Stopped in for some drinks. The bar tender was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I enjoyed a verity of ciders suggested by the bar tender. The decor was fun and had video games.

Food was good, service was fine. Loved the Philly attitude. Very local and non local customers and right across from Pat’s. We had their Philly rather than waiting in the heat outside and on line we sat right down, vintage arcade games and good selection of spirits and beer

I live a block from this place, and this was my first visit there since it changed from Anastasi's. Service on a Sunday afternoon was decent, unfortunately half of the work the staff was doing was clearing cheesesteak wrappers and debris from the other places across the street instead of serving their own food. I ordered the roast pork sandwich, with waffle fries, my partner ordered the cheesesteak (wiz wit) with regular fries. Both sandwiches were very good. I would have preferred a little more broccoli rabe on mine, but that's a matter of taste. Prices were fair and beer was cold. If you're visiting the area and really want a cheesesteak but also want bathrooms and air conditioning, I suggest you skip the long lines, have a seat, and tip your servers at SPB&G well.

South Philly bar and grill is a great place to watch the game or just relax and let the work day fade into the past. Courteous staff and friendly clientele make this the best place to make new friends and enjoy the day.
