This place is extraordinary especially with their customer service! From the servers to the busters to the hosts, they are all phenomenal employees! They definitely have been treated well and with good treatment comes great food!
As a person with prior experience in tasting different European cuisines, this place is definitely on my go to list if I want exceptional service and food.
Furthermore, this place isn’t even as popular as some of them on Chesnut or Walnut street. It isn’t too crowded here and service is fast and polite! The food is also not a long wait compared to higher traffic places.
Again, I would highly recommend!
I came here for restaurant week and the food and service was phenomenal! The restaurant is very cozy and lively and the service was amazing. The hostess was very accommodating as I needed to push my reservation back almost two hours later. She seated us quickly even though there were a line of customers out the door, which I really appreciated. The chicken fantasia and tilapia entrees were the best, followed by the mussels appetizer. The tiramisu and tartufo were really good. Overall I recommend coming here for good authentic Italian food and great memories!
Delicious food from this Albanian owned Italian restaurant. Service was great as well. My wife and I really liked her veal parmigiana and it was a pretty good sized portion. My eggplant rollatini (as good as it was) was a very small portion - two pieces each the size of a pill bottle. It’s not like eggplant is that expensive for a restaurant to purchase. Every other Italian place I ordered it from gave me much more
We enjoyed dinner on a busy Saturday night. The appetizers and desserts were great, and the service was fantastic. The mushroom risotto (one of the few vegetarian options) was a disappointment, but our other dishes were delightful!
Quiet, intimate, authentic Italian restaurant (that’s BYOB). The host / server was very friendly, personable, patient and accommodating. My friend & I came here for lunch with intentions on ordering from the restaurant week menu options, but I really wanted to try the lobster ravioli so we both ordered from their regular menu. NO REGRETS. The mussels in white wine sauce were tasty, and my lobster ravioli with scallops was everything I imagined it would be. It’s a MUST I come back with my bottle of wine next time!
Exceptional environment and some of the tastiest food I've ever had! The freshness and quality of the food was divine! Noneof our dishes were heavy at all. All very light and packed with incredible flavor! A must if you come to Philly!
It's a very quaint & lovely place with the option to eat outside or inside. The staff was super attentive and sweet. The dishes we ordered were fantastic. Highly, highly, recommend & I am a very well-seasoned Traveler & have lived in Italy.
I went during restaurant week do portion size was a little small. It was $35 per person for dinner. This place was BYOB - so it was phenomenal! Food was a little bland but they give you st and pepper on side. Would definitely go back to try their regular menu!
My sister recommended this restaurant to me last night so I tried it out with a friend. We had a fantastic experience here. Service was friendly and attentive. Our dinner came out fast and was absolutely delicious. La Fontana is a great restaurant to get tasty Italian food. I highly recommend this place and will be returning.
Good spot for BYOB italian fare. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. The seafood was great, calamari was cooked just right.
