One of my besties wanted to celebrate her 65th birthday at McCormick and Schmidt. It was 6 of us total. Nice restaurant, nicely decorated, warm decor. Service was great. 4 of us ordered the Salmon stuffed with shrimp and crabmeat. Very good and I love the mashed potatoes. Honorable Mention - the bartender made a great apple martini.
Overall we had a good experience but this one issue deserves to be mentioned for the owner;
Two of us arrived before the birthday girl and she called to confirm with the restaurant that she was running late but on her way.
We should have been seated at our "reserved' table and not made to wait by the door. That was not good customer service. The bathroom is literally near the door and the coatroom so we had to constantly keep moving as to not be in the way.
We stood there for almost 45 minutes. Not once were we offered to be seated at our "reserved table". If this is their policy, it needs to change.
Dragon sphere was good. The service was good. Our server name was Miguel. The food was mediocre but it was a nice night over wrong with the atmosphere in the service. It was my 10-year anniversary and I got a good laugh out of the desert I ordered for my wife.
My wife and I went for our 1 year anniversary. We wanted to go somewhere we’ve never been before and weren’t disappointed. Brandon was our host that night. He greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. The view of Broad st. was excellent, even from where we were seated. Zach, our server was very helpful with our menu selection and was very attentive.
The cooking staff must be a well oiled machine. Our appetizers came out in no time flat, and just as we were finishing with those our entrees weren’t far behind. I mean literally as we were finishing Zach asked if we were ready for our main course. 3 minutes and 28 seconds later ( yes, I timed it ) our steaks were in front of us cooked to perfection. This place is everything it’s supposed to be and more when it comes to fine dining.
I just have to remember that next time not to bring the truck. Thanks again Brandon, Zach and the amazing staff who work behind the scenes.
Shrimp Kisses are incredible! Ahi was also incredible! Highly recommended.
The food and drinks were quite good! Our service was not the worst but also not the best but the meal was good. The non-alcoholic beverages were well done also. The calamari is good but you'll definitely need more sauce for the large plate. Portions are good and food is well seasoned. Overall a good experience.
Don't know why the menu looks the way it does but the food and service was great, the oysters I had was small but very fresh and sweet! The black angus ribeye steak was simply delicious especially with their spice, every bite you can savor both the seasoning and the beef itself, it got a perfect balance without one to overpower the other. The dessert was great too, simple yet satisfying.
The experience was great overall and would recommend it to friends.
This place is really confusing. I loved the service. My waitress was very nice. The atmosphere was great. But the food was bad. Maybe I ordered something that's less desirable. I was not pleased with the taste or presentation.
While visiting Philadelphia, my wife and I noticed Mc Cormick's. 👀
The outside appearance looked as rich as we felt, so we figured we'd give them a shot. 😁
Note: We took into consideration beforehand that they might be pricey because most Steak 🥩 & Seafood 🦞 restaurants are.
I'd suggest you check the menu for entrees you think you want to eat before you dine in. Especially if you're paying for multiple dishes. 🍽
Their menu options are decent. Keep in mind, they're known for Steak & Seafood.
This dining experience overall was pleasant. Our waitress did her best to accommodate our food restrictions. The food was tasty and well prepared.
My wife gives Mc Cormick's two thumbs up. We'd recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
Don't be fooled by the menu. Our server, Damaris, explained to us that while we were ordering those items, they could be prepared several ways upon request. WOW! That was mind-blowing, to say the least! Coupled with the fact that Damaris was extremely cordial and attentive, not only to us but to other patrons as well, led to a delightful New Years Eve. She is truly an asset to the brand! Thank you, Damaris and McCormick & Schmick's
Beautiful and happy people. Good quality healthy food. We ordered a Lump Crab Cake as appetizer. Before they served a bread made in the house. But, the bread tasteless where we did not define whether it was salty or sweet. As a main dish a Craft Beer Battered Fish, a delight. Also, Center Cut Filet Mignon, so tender and delicious. As sides a portion of Grilled Aspargus. Unfortunately they didn't have Lobster Mashed Potatoes. For dessert a cheesecake. The waiters are very polite and friendly. The price is just. I recommend.
