Fourth visit to A Mano. Consistently a great experience. Attentive service. If you are really hungry, do the chef's tasting. On this visit, our party of four shared four first/second courses (two pastas and two apps). For entrees, three of four went with a fish. The chicken Milanese is good (and large). The desserts are worth getting as well. BYOB allowed us to bring a dessert wine for the final course, along with a red and white. Don't forget--cash only. Definitely worth a trip.

While visiting Eastern State Penitentiary with family on Sunday, I researched nearby restaurants. A Mano was practically across the street & looked great. It's a BYOB which is good. Cash only isn't my favorite, though. We were a party of 6 and were offered a tasting option for $65 a head. It was like family style and included their yummy focaccia sourdough bread with olive oil butter, multiple apps, entrees and desserts to share. It was pricey but we went for it and were wowed by the flavors and creativity in each plate. The Veal Carpaccio, Seared Spanish Octopus, Parsley Cavatelli with Escargot, Ravioli, Potato-Goat Cheese Gnocci, Taleggio Polenta and Braised Pork Shank that falls off of the bone were some stand out dishes of the dinner. My 3 favorites that I am returning for are the Gnocci, their addictive Polenta and their Apple Cinnamon stuffed Doughnuts with Sea Salt Caramel sauce. Just wow. The service was great. Our server Jeff was awesome. He even took our picture for us because we HAD to do that after sharing this delightful culinary experience. After coffee, tax & tip it was $173 a couple... in cash. The experience, although pricey, was worth it because we did get A LOT for what we paid and now we all know our favorites and will return for them. We were all talking about this restaurant the next day so, of course, I would recommend A Mano.

Don’t know why this place doesn’t have more reviews. Was a little apprehensive however everything was delicious, fresh, and vibrant. Pork shank was so tender you could eat it with a spoon. Pasta was very salty however the other flavors were good. The kitchen was tiny so everything was super fresh. It’s BYOB and small inside so plan accordingly.

My partner and I celebrated our 6th year anniversary at A Mano! The food was amazing and it’s BYOB! Even though I ordered the last salmon and it was given to the wrong table, they made it immediately right with us which I appreciated…and the branzino ended up being amazing! You can pick between 3 or 4 course dinner. We did the 4, and they brought us out a little candle with dessert. 1) Pork Shank over polenta 2) Pork Belly 3) Squid Ink Pasta 4) Ricotta Cavatelli 5) Branzino 6) White Corn Panna Cotta and Lemon Olive Oil Cake

A Mano is an under-appreciated gem, with some of the best and most unique Italian food offered in Philadelphia. The waitstaff is attentive, accommodating, and well-versed on the menu and the ins-and-outs of fine dining. I enjoyed every portion of my 4 course meal, the portions were generous and I left incredibly satisfied. From the Late Summer menu, the peach panzanella, grilled branzino, and braised pork shank were our favorites, though everything was delicious. Our waitress recommended the ricotta cavatelli as well and it was incredible. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and white corn panna cotta and were not surprised to find them both delicious as well.

Everyone was so lovely here. We got four courses and each was better than the last! The food was amazing, filled us up for two days! Worth every penny! Special thanks to Sofia and Shannon!!

Tucked away in Philadelphia, A Mano is a true Italian gem. The staff is friendly and well-informed, making the dining experience enjoyable. The 3-course meal was a delight, featuring generous portions. Standouts included the roast pork belly, prosciutto, rigatoni bolognese, and braised pork shank. Desserts – tiramisu, olive oil cake, and panna cotta – were the perfect sweet ending!

The food is consistently good. Their appetizers and main dishes are much better than their pasta dishes. Also if you are price conscious you should check your bill since it has happened to me that they add an extra $10 to a pre fixe menu price with one excuse or another (oh, this pasta dish was $10 more expensive, but they didn’t bother mentioning when we were ordering), and I noticed they add a fee for paying with credit card. I really like their braised pork shank. Roasted pork belly can definitely use more pork belly and less chickpeas. Also it’s great that it’s BYOB.

This spot has been our favorite restaurant experience in Philly in the last 3 years! So glad to have finally checked it out! Everything was incredible and top Notch! The mushroom Lasagna and the rosemary panna cotta were by far the best! Our server (Ashley C) was perfect and offered great suggestions and was always there at the right moment. Highly recommend this place!

Exceptional - on many levels. Management - There was a slight issue with our reservation. Management called (who picks up a phone these days?!) and made it more than right. Food - Aside from being delicious, every DAMN plate was PERFECTLY balanced. We tried to find fault and just could not. Pork belly, just the right amount of heat to not mask the complex flavors. Ink pasta - our disappointment of smaller sized shrimp was quashed. We understood. Every bite was equally sized- how thoughtful and not even a second over cooked- almost inevitable w fresh pasta and smaller sized seafood. The focccia - sourdough, springy yet w a nice crust. It brings carbs back into fashion. Pork shank. Just do it, it falls off the bone, not overly heavy and the bed of potatoes was like eating a cloud touched by heaven. I could write a novel but I'll keep it brief. Service- Shannon's servic rivaled that of any Michelin restaurant. Attentive but not overbearing. Everything came out as it should have and not once did we have to look for her. She was always right there at the moment we needed, like magic. Or maybe she's just clairvoyant. Note- bring the staff something to drink after service. It's a nice gesture that goes a long way. Sancerre was our way of saying thank you. I was in town one night and my only regret was not to be able to dine at their other 2 restaurnants.

One of the better BYOB experiences in the city. They have two tiers of tasting menus which I feel offered great value. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend the pork belly starter and mushroom risotto if it’s offered. Try to save room for dessert, the berry panna cotta was incredible as well!

Spent our V-Day weekend dinner here and had the 4-course meal. It was very filling and we even had some food to take home. The staff was so wonderful. It is BYOB and all the flavors are incredible!
