Beefy King

Beefy King is a tradition for my dad not to eat at when I visit him in Orlando. This place has absolutely the best sandwiches you can get. If you haven't eaten here, do yourself a favor and try it out. You won't be disappointed. I've eaten here since I was a little kid and it seems like the food gets better over time. And it started out delicious to begin with. They got tater tots that are perfect!

Was recently here about 2 weeks ago when I was in Orlando visiting friends and family. And I gotta say, OMFG! HOW DID I LIVE IN ORLANDO FROM 1995-2016 Without EVER going here? This is a perfect “fast casual” restaurant. Good food, better service than fast food places, and only slightly more than your standard Arby’s/BK/McDs, etc. To anyone visiting Orlando beyond the parks and wants a TRUE feel for the city, this is the place to be. And for those who like drink, may I suggest Whiskey Lou’s Lounge just down the road for an after lunch/dinner drink? LOVED this place! Will definitely be back

Not bad, but not as good as I had hoped. I know it is an Orlando institution, but it just wasn't all that. I guess I was expecting more of a deli, and it just missed the mark a bit. Roast beef was decent, don't get me wrong. And the horsey sauce was sufficient. But the lack of mustard was a criminal offence in my mind. Pastrami and no mustard? Oh nay nay, that is not okay. If you guys think that that is the epitome of sliced meat sandwiches, I wish I could teleport you to Zuppa's in Toronto, about 20 years ago. Sweet baby jeebus, I still dream about those sandwiches...

Very classic feel. Felt like I was transported back to better days. The roast beef sandwich is killer. I could eat it often. Loved it best with the horsey sauce. The sandwich tasted a bit like Italian beef but without all the toppings and gravy. The sides were good [spuds (tater tots), pickle, and cole slaw], but not standout. I don't mean that in a bad way, just that they were exactly what you'd expect. The cherry milkshake was a bit thin, but I didn't mind because it was easy to drink and had a vibrant cherry flavor. Prices were very generous. Food was hot and fresh. Service was quick and attentive. Parking was a bit tough due to how busy they were. I would definitely return and enjoyed them a lot. Note: they have a drive thru and dine in. Not really any outdoor seating.

This is an older establishment that has survived time and even a fire. They were founded in 1968. The interior is like stepping back in time and is very welcoming. Their tasty roast beef sandwiches are pretty good and are their main offering but they also have some specialty sandwiches and milkshakes on the menu. The best part is the prices which are very reasonable.
