I love Melao. I usually go to both locations. The empanada, hot food and sorullitos are so good. The bakery items are delicious also.

Took me a while to find some good Puerto Rican food here in Orlando. There's plenty of Puerto Rican restaurants, but to find the good ones took some digging. My buddy turned me onto this place. Cafeteria style Puerto Rican food. The options are endless. Great for lunch and dinner but I hear breakfast is pretty good too. Also had some of their pastries with coffee. It was also delicious.

My son for his Spanish class had to go to a Spanish speaking restaurant and try to order all the Spanish. Everyone there was so nice . It must have taken him 15 minutes to order but Liliana let him take his time . The food was amazing and the portions were very large. We will definitely be eating there again.

The only reason I'm not having it 5 stars, is because I didn't get to try everything else! I had no idea what I was looking for and everyone was so nice and helpful with explaining what was what and giving recommendations! The pastries were very sweet for me, and nice and flaky, and the stew I got was very good. I want to try more of the different meats and come back and try the cakes as well! It was such a good time and I felt so full driving back. 😭

Puerto Rican food with some other flavors, the yellow rice or arroz de guandules the best I have tried in 25 years, only better one was from hermana Montalvo. The carne guisada, delicious, overall great food and a superb value.
