I ordered fish and chips (Lake Erie walleye). The price was $25.95 and a cup of coffee $5.00. It consisted of a thin filet of walleye with very thick breading and greasy redskin potatoes. Also on the plate were 3 tiny pickles and a cup of mayo that was supposed to be tartar sauce. It was terrible. The lady at the next table ordered the same and didn't look pleased either. I did not complain at the time but when I saw the charge on my credit card it began to make me think and I contacted the restaurant by e-mail and am waiting to hear what the head chef has to say about it. I will never go back there.

So impressed about this hidden gem of a restaurant and bar. Food was exquisite and served in a timely manner, with our entree brought by the chef himself- such an honor to meet the man behind the menu. Drew our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drinks.
For a small town, this restaurant gives you ‘big city’ feels. From our intimate dinner for two to future client business meetings - this restaurant doesn’t disappoint. Absolutely 5 starts!

10 of us enjoyed refreshments in the back room served with humor by Travis. We were treated royally and served with an amazing 16 layer crepe filled with orange blossom creme and surrounded by strawberries! Amazing.

Been here twice. The food was good both times. The service however was really bad. Asking for silverware. Asking for more coffee. Asking for a few more napkins. The man was beyond sweating. Saying they won’t hire anyone he’s the only one there.

Best restaurant in Oberlin OH. Amazing food and cheap drinks for being in a hotel. Menu is small but you should be able to find something. I even pay for their bread - AMAZING 🤩 Oberlin is a great small town in Lorain County. If you are in the area - you won’t be disappointed.

Before I leave a bad review. I normally go twice. And indeed we did. Once for brunch. Once for lunch. Both were really bad. First experience was told to put a mask on. But employees arnt wearing them? Typical of Oberlin I guess. Then we wait..and wait…there’s 2 other tables sitting. And the servers are running around like there’s a line out the door. Finally seated. The server was terrible. She was to busy checking her phone every minute. The food? Well it was wrong and the server then proceeded to blame the kitchen and how they always mess it up. Well. We came back. 2nd visit. And same server. She was beyond distracted. The food was yep, wrong again. No apology.

Food is a bit expensive, and not that great. Ordered food to go. It was nice and hot, but burger was soggy and sloppy, mac and cheese is oily and overly garlicky. Not a bad experience, but not worth the money I paid for it.

Here is a place with great food, great decor (especially since the new remodel has been completed), great folks and great fun. Parking is very close to the restaurant. I enjoy the plate my food came out on. Looked like a type of stoneware. Very cool. The building on the whole is a great improvement over the old building. Very well done. They also have seasonal events here as well such as breakfast with Santa. There was even caroling too. I would recommend eating here for special occasions but not on the regular. The issue I had was the cost didn’t truly reflect the food. It’s kind of expensive for what you actually get. Example - I ordered French toast w/ fruit for my kids. They both received one piece of toast and what looked like one large strawberry chopped up. Again, a nice place to eat once in a while for special occasions but your wallet (and probably your belly) will complain afterwards.
