Jimmy's Snacks & Deli

boo. i went there for some soup (on the website and the big menu wall of the deli - it says they have soup) I asked for soup - the person was super rude when they told me they don't make soup. I nicely suggested they update their website and menu. The rude guy behind the counter yelled at me as I put my soda back - he said I slammed the door, but it closed by itself! I won't go back there - what a jerk.

This time I got a turkey bacon swiss on toasted soft roll. I've been here a few times, when I come downtown and want a sandwich I come to Jimmy's, I've had the tuna with extra jalapenos 👍, salami on soft roll, roast beef👍 all of them very good! Its a two man team very kind people. They have soup of the day Mon. Minestrone Wed. chicken noodle, Fri. clam chowder, I forgot Tues/Wed. They also have store brought soap bowls that need hot water, chips drinks (red bulls, gatorade, sodas, waters-plain/coconut, etc.). They serve breakfast sandwiches until 11am bagel or croissants, muffins. Next time I'll try the pita/gyro lamb beef or the falafel

Best deli sandwich in Oakland. It's not to upscale like alot of new places, which I prefer when it comes to a deli sandwich. The prices are normal. the shop is always clean with big windows to allow the fresh daylight experience of downtown Oakland while you enjoy your fresh food. The service is respectful and personal as the owner wants to get to know you while walking your food out to you with a huge smile on his face. And most importantly the food is exceptionally good. This is definitely my go-to sandwich shop in Oakland. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed. -New regular customer.

Sam and George are awesome. Jimmy's is my go to place for a lunch on the run. They have great salads and can even make gluten free sandwiches. They really care about all their customers, and remember everyone's names. The office swears by their burritos!!! Can't beat the value for the price in the neighborhood!

Husband and I stumbled on this place accidentally while passing through Oakland to catch a train. Insanely good sandwiches. Avocado BLT and chicken salad are both top notch, and the sourdough bread they served it on was fresh, moist, and loaded with flavor. The service was crazy nice, too. If I lived in Oakland this would be my regular lunch spot.

Jimmy really knows how to feed a man. The breakfast burrito is a culinary masterpiece. The eggs are so light and fluffy, like little yellow clouds cooked to perfection. Mixed together with the cheese, hash brown, tortilla, cheese, and your choice of sausage or bacon, it is truly a delight that will leave you satisfied but craving more
