Review Bierhaus Nyc - New York City

This German resturant is very laid back and has a fun atmosphere. Waitresses wear German outfits and everything looks very rustic. They do have TVs all through out for games on different screens so that’s also fun. There is a small balcony that faces the street which is cool. Have been here twice already, and always enjoy it a lot on a relaxing night with friends. First time I ordered the Cauliflower soup which was delicious and second time a bacon burger. ****Their potato chips are wayyyyy better than their french fries. 😉 Great prices and great service!

Nice atmosphere. My fiancé is from Germany and I personally lived in Germany for 2 years. And this place remind me to Germany. Really good food And beer. And nice and smiley hosts. I’ll be back.

As someone who has German heritage and has been in Germany, this is an interesting take on it. It has a bier tent vibe but the food is not up to par. The bier was good, and its fun for groups. If you want authentic, look elsewhere.

We visited for both happy hour and again for dinner. The happy hour is top notch. Food is great. Service great. Feels Austrian/German. Bier is German, and the food is also German/American.

Solid Munich/Oktoberfest-esque beer hall perfectly located in East Midtown. 3 blocks from Grand Central & easy to find. The atmosphere was laid back, the beer was perfect, and the food is pretty massive for the portions. It's strange that a sit-down restaurant asks for a card upfront, which makes it feel more like a bar & tab situation. Nevertheless I can absolutely see myself coming back when friends come into town & they are looking for a easy respite from the midtown chaos.

Nice place and the Jägerschnitzel is quite good. It's a try at a Bavarian beer hall, which isn't typical German. Staff is nice and prices are higher because it's Manhattan. Biggest drawback are the long stairs to get in. Don't drink too much or you end up with broken bones trying to get down those stairs. Also, if you are handicapped it seems you are out of luck.

We attended the Friday night Oktoberfest. The food was good , we enjoyed 5 appetizers. Beers were giant as we ordered the liter size beers. The band got us up out of our seats to sing along and dance. A keg tapping was in order and a round of beers from that keg for anyone who wanted one. Additionally a roast pig was brought out of the kitchen and a small plate of pork was provided to anyone who desired some . Great night out . Been there before and will definitely return.

Excellent service. Our waiter (Dangster)was very personable and made our dining experience fun. On site brewed beer was very good . Food was great, portions were large. A great experience.

Fantastic time lastnight. A monday. Met my cousin for dinner. I picked the place from apple map app of suggested places to eat in the area. So now about the place!! The wait staff was great. Should have got the waitress name dark hair very pretty. Beer was very tasty. Appetizers were also good. Very nice atmosphere. Dinner also came out n we loved our food. About 7pm a jazz band came on and lots of jazz dancing. Think it was a dance group. Place got busy. Enjoyed my night greatly. I would like to go back

With great expectations we hiked through the rain to Hofbrau Bierhaus for some authentic German Beer, Food & Music, but were very disappointed. The service and beer were excellent, Huge Pretzel appetizer with mustards very good, dinner was awful, had to send mine back- Rueben Sandwich tasted like boiled rubber, couldn't bite into it and it was flavorless, and share hubby's just ok very bland sausage and kraut. There just wasn't any flavor to the food. What could be a great beer hall is missing the atmosphere and authentic German food. I didn't come here to listen to 80's music or a 3 pc band that tries to play 80's music, blue grass and I don't know what else - it all sounded the same, 2 guitars & a sax....there should be authentic Bavarian music! We've been to Hofbrau Pittsburgh, Las Vegas ( a few times) and Germany.....guess we expected too much from NYC.

Fantastic service and the server was very attentive to our two young kids in tow. Beer dip and cheese was exactly what we needed to shake of the chill. Reuben was the best I have ever had anywhere! Thank you!

Excellent meal with excellent setvice. However, instead of loud rock music, they should play German music to be more authentic or at least something classy like jazz. Also, the menu has entrees with two starches - spatzle and potatoes. I would think that a vegetable (maybe sauerkraut or red cabbage) and one starch would be better for most diners. Other German restaurants do that.

Well we are thankful there is a German restaurant in the city but we were not impressed with the food. It was not prepared well and did not represent fine cuisine we are used to when in Bavaria. The beer was very good and we had a nice seating outside to get a little bit of fresh air. The management staff accommodate us due to the poor quality on the food but some improvements are definitely necessary there to make it five star

Went there yesterday, have to say there was great food, great 🍺, and great service! Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through the city to stop by and enjoy some great German food!

Beer heaven 👌 perfect atmosphere. The seasonal unfiltered is excellent. Yummy pretzels. Live band was on point!! Must visit!

Wonderful place for larger groups which is rare in the city. The food was fantastic and staff was attentive. Even just popping in for one of their beers is a great idea. We also came on a night when there was a live band which I thought was really cool. Will return there soon!

Loud. Very loud. Very, very loud. The food and beer were very enjoyable, but conversation was impossible.

Great place to unwind and watch the world go by while drinking awesome German beer and eating tremendous German food... Go there!

Great food and beer. I was disappointed with the jazz band vs a good polka band

It was a fun afternoon. The grown ups enjoyed their food and drinks. The kids not so much. Kids didn't like the pasta, chix fingers were fine. A couple kids wanted burgers so they had to order off the adult menu. The server did warn us it wasn't on the kids menu. We knew that, but think we misunderstood what she meant. What we now think she meant is it wasn't a kid friendly burger. Service could have been much better.
