Review Ruby Tuesday - New York City

Bruce Hendrickson
Great service on two late November nights. We went on Friday night and it was so good we went back on Sunday night. The staff was great both times. I had Rib eye steak and my girl had chicken and salad. The mega beers tasted great. Next time we come to New York city we will definitely go there again.

I’ve dined here at this location several times before. The reason for me coming back is for the actual food. For the most part I enjoy the menu and things are cooked to my liking. The reasoning for the three stars is the serious inconsistency in service. The first time we went it was wonderful but has been on the decline since. As far as wait time one of the best on the strip.

Even though is Times Square and it was so crowded the day I went with my wife, the service was really fast and the people very nice, they suggested to pair some beer and margaritas with our plates and it was a great combination of flavors. The ribs were amazing and the price was good. If you add like 5 dollars you can get all the salad that you can eat, I didn’t do it but if you are into that is a good plus.

Couldn’t decide what to eat and remembered the ruby Tuesdays in Boston fondly. So came here. Considering the location it was pretty dead. But soon realized why. The food was decent enough hence the 3 stars but the service... that could use some improving. We walked in and the host was sitting down on the bench ment for customers when waiting. And then told us to go upstairs... we went upstairs and even though there was 3 ppl at the host station. It took 5 mins for us to be seated because they were busy talking... then when we got to the table the waitress seemed nice and quick enough. Took our drink orders and orders right away. But... got our order wrong. Wasn’t too bad so we just decided to roll with it. But we asked for garden salad not ceaser cause the person I was with was allergic to what was in the ceaser so we asked only for that to be changed. She brought the salad but forgot to ask us what dressing we wanted and didn’t even bother to bring anything even when we asked. But back to the service. The food came out but we had no cutlery and we asked for side plates but nothing. We had to call her twice to get even a fork and knife. Not once did the waitress come by to ask how the meal was or if we needed anything but funny enough she was quick to bring us the bill and quick to get her “tip”. Considering where it’s located and how empty it was you’d think there would be better service. It’s no wonder it’s so empty. If you want decent food but bad service. This is the place to go.

I didn’t like the food that much ... I odered the boneless wings (Nashville hot) but it was not that juicy it’s kind of dry and hard also never waste your money on crispy chicken sandwich first of all the way the picture was the burger didn’t came with same I said with cheese then he gave me cheese later ... also he forgot to give the ketchup for fries .. I have to asked twice ... And as a food quality and taste the price is little bit higher Only thing I liked was mango lemonade ...

The salad bar was good. The chicken sandwich and burger were also good. My wife loved the ribs, mediocre imo. The tots were not good. The waiter was good and on top of his game. The ambiance is fine.

Date night with hubby... it was our 1st time here and i must say it was pretty good! We went on a Saturday night around 930 and it was packed! 3 min wait tho not bad at all! It was a clean environment, a lil warm for me but i dealt with it.. the customer service was vvery good i must say! The salad bar was amazing... why 5.99 for each person i dunno! Altho it was unlimited i could only eat one plate of salad... I wish i could've had more tho... We Order shrimp and ribs.. after putting in our order the waiter came back and said there is no more shrimp would u like to substitute the shrimp for chicken tenders...🤔ummm no i wasn't happy about that but hubby took the 3 little ole tenders.. lol other than the no shrimp the ribs was awesome, the dirty rice was good, the coleslaw wasnt for me so they substitute for mash and that was perfect! My overall experience at Ruby Tuesday was a good one... well be back soon! 4👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼!!

It's a chain restaurant that had a menu that's a mix between a dinner and an out back steak house. The food is ok for a quick bite but the prices are above average. A cob salad is 20$ and wings are 14$ but then again this is a restaurant right in times square and Broadway theaters. If you are looking for a quick bite and drink before a show on 41 St this is a possible option but if you are looking for a great dinner then skip this place.
