Best little hidden gem in the East Village. I make it a point to stop at Crooked Tree whenever I'm in NYC. You can't go wrong with ordering a sweet, or savory crepe. Nice ambiance and the staff is always warm and welcoming. I highly recommend.
Sometime around 1999 I first visited Crooked Tree in the East Village and found the perfect crepes. Nearly twenty years on it remains the best. I’ll always stop in when I visit Manhattan.
GO HERE FOR GREAT BRUNCH FOOD. Adorable brunch locale with an extensive menu of waffles, crepes and sandwiches. Perfect for a non-boozy brunch option. Little inside eating area and two tables outside. Great place for Sunday morning/afternoon meal with friends.
The best creperie in town! They have a wide variety of sandwiches, savory crepes, sweet crepes and even big Belgian waffles! My favorite is their crooked veggie sandwich and s’mores crepe. I usually substitute the chocolate for speculoos spread and it’s just delicious!!! Their ingredients are always fresh and cleanliness is taken seriously. Their staff is the best and the place is a cozy hole in the wall with interesting interior design; perfect for a romantic date when they have candlelights in the evening or for happy hour drinks with your coworkers!
Cute place Enjoyed the brunch= drink, entree, and side. One of the best crepes I've had in years. I'm glad I wandered past and decided to try it out
It’s nice to eat a crepe in a place that isn’t frilly. The Crooked Tree has a warm and low-key ambiance. Try the red sangria paired with a savory crepe like the Merquez lamb sausage with goat cheese and veggies. Or order a sweet crepe with a coffee. Happy hour specials on weeknights, but you don’t have to wait to get a good deal here - the menu is very reasonable.
The front windows open when the weather’s nice – with a couple of tables set on the sidewalk.
The crepes are on the crispier side here but the flavours are good. Reasonably priced and cosy dining area. Kind of a long wait though.
A very homey feel and amazing crepes. The staff was extremely kind and made the experience even better. No complaints at all.
Very good crepes, nice atmosphere, friendly servers all make for a great spot to stop for lunch. Great beer and wine selections. You must try the very basic, but never boring, lemon, butter and sugar dessert crepe. Even though this is a basic selection at any crepe place it is possible to do it wrong. The Crooked Tree does a great job with this type and it is simply delicious.
Oh, my! We were in a hurry to see Stomp just around the corner and had been craving crepes. This tiny treasure exceeded our expectations! The ambience is very nice for a quiet dinner date, the food is elegant and delicious, and the pricing is surprisingly affordable for NYC. This will be a favorite stop whenever we are in the City. We had The Purple Fig, a crepe with a mix of sweet and savory flavors, including Brie and Granny Smith apple slices. We also had a crepe with chicken, mushrooms, goat cheese and pesto. Divine! And the service was friendly and FAST, so we didn’t have to worry about my swing the show. Way to go, Crooked Tree!
Absolutely delicious! The savory crepes are amazing, and the sweet crepes are top notch as well A little small, but nice decor. Staff is very friendly every time I visit.
CREPES! So yummy and I always go for the savory crepe. A custom number I like is the tomato, basil, mozzarella, with added chicken and pesto. You can call it the TJ :)
The fries are yummy (sans salt) I dip them in ketchup or mayo, thin and crispy.
The savory crepes are served with a nice mix green salad with a mustardy (<
