Review Bricco Restaurant - New York City

So many clams the appetizer dish! And so salty (in a good way)

Been here a handful of times. Such a classic Italian gem right in Midtown. Great options for vegetarians. While I was extremely impressed by their lasagna, (my dad and I ordered the same thing), they also make a hands down great cup of coffee. Might not be much to everyone, but I definitely appreciate a well made coffee at the end of the meal.

Classic Italian Bistro! While they don't have a private dining room, they happily accommodated our group of about 30pp because my Aunt & Uncle are regular guests. The service was pleasant and efficient. The food was excellent! About a half dozen birthdays were celebrated while we were there.

Amazing place with friendly attentions and good taste food

I had been here nearly 20 years ago before a show and coming back was a treat...love the cozy tables and pink decor. The food was fabulous! We had several appetizers and the thin crust Margherita pizzas were tasty. A very attentive staff and creative desserts rounded out a great late night meal.

One of our favorite places to eat in NYC! Service is always amazing, it's romantic and the food is beautiful and delicious. In a city where things change every min. we are so happy we can find a place that is consistent but never stale. Service is always friendly, even super busy nights they let you enjoy a relaxed dinner.

The owner's wife has been (and still is) a long-time client of my mom, and my mom frequents here for special occasions/family dinners. It was my first time going there and the owner + wife couldn't be nicer people to me, my mom + family. Phenomenal service, along with the food + quality. 10/10 would dine here again.

Superb service, very considerate and attentive wait staff. Excellent food and ambiance too. We started with some appetizers (grilled octopus, clams and bocconcini). My friends and I had steak, swordfish and pasta as main entrees and all were perfect and good portions.

Absolutely great place. Fun atmosphere (women: plant your lipstick-laden kiss on the ceiling,). The pastas are tasty, especially with their homemade sauces, and the veal dishes are excellent. The breads are also very good and this is a place for seeing celebrities from CBS if you are into that sort of thing. Welcoming, but small, bar with friendly bartenders.

Excellent food and attentive service. Highly recommend the pizza with prosciutto and arugula as well as the spaghetti and clams in white sauce. If you go, check out the creative ceiling decor! We will definitely be going back.

Excellent service and the flavors were great. We even went back before we left the city. Highly recommend for the atmosphere and personal attention they give you !

I had the most amazing dining experience everything was fresh and delicious, the pasta was cooked al dente and the brick oven pizza was just perfect .The owner made us feel at home and he went out of his way to make sure everything was they way we liked it . The waiters were very polite and very careful if we where missing anything .From the appetizer to dessert was just unbelievable amazing topped by an Italian wine suggested by the owner . I can't wait to go back again .Bricco is my favorite Italian restaurant for midtown .

Good service. Walked in without needing a reservation, and the food was fantastic! I had the house special ravioli and it was perfectly made. Would definitely come back.

Food was very good (seafood choices), ambiance was noisy near the bar. Several servers work your table, but, in our case, none noticed we were more than ready for the check.

We booked from the UK to have Bricco for our Wedding Reception in New York. Nino and his staff gave us a perfect Wedding Party, they could not do enough for us. The room was beautiful The food was the best Wedding Meal I have ever had. We played our playlist and danced all night. We had the best of times. Thank you so much to Nino and his Staff Marie & Stu Watson

The food and service was amazing here I would recommend this restaurant to all family and friends. We were referred by a friend & I was really impressed! You can’t get this kind of food in North Carolina!

Be adventurous, skip the menu, tell the professional wait staff or the proprietor what you like to eat, then sit back and enjoy!

I went there with friends late on a Saturday night and the staff was very warm and welcoming... food is excellent! Their Pizza was delicious, my wife order a Risotto with asparagus and it was a delight! The decor and ambiance makes you feel comfortable right away. Will definitely go back!!

I went this past Saturday evening for a group event! Everything went very well. Service was very good and the food was incredibly delicious. They were packed and all the plates, I saw, looked beautiful. It's a great place for birthday celebrations as there were at least 8, including ours.

Excellent food. Quirky but friendly service. Really loved our first visit and will definitely be back.

What a lovely Ristorante! I had my birthday dinner here with some friends. The food and service was outstanding! A must try if you are in the area.

My husband and I have been coming here for years. We are always greeted warmly by Nino and the love the ambiance and service, but it's the food that keeps up coming back again and again. With so many Italian restaurants in NY, it takes something unique to stand out. The grilled octopus is out of this world, as is nearly everything on the menu. It is a gem of a restaurant.

This was delicious and a perfect spot to help us unwind, reflect on the day and help us celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary! The service was attentive and the food was good! Thank you!

Nino treats everyone like family, and the food is always delicious. Get the house red wine, it's a winner.

We came exclusively for the music…..Jennifer Jade Ledsna and Gabriel Hermida. The food was a pleasant surprise. Very very good. Loved the entire experience.

Outdated decor. Clams in white wine were nice, but a few were slightly gritty. Bread and butter were ok, but nothing special. Offer gluten free pasta. Filet was of very good taste, we asked for medium rare, which it was but it came out warm, rather than hot and the center cold. They took it in to be cooked more, but then it was no longer medium rare. Dish was accompanied by mash and string beans which were average. Pasta dish was basic, but lacked any authentic flare. Something I could have cooked at home, but just not as good. Glass Chianti was ok. All in all this place could be better, but it's just not.

Noisy - crowded. Way too noisy -- how do you like a place where every waiter who goes by pushes your chair? Besides, an Italian restaurant should be able to offer properly cooked ravioli -- it's not hard.

Loved it. Exactly the way we envisioned a New York Italian restaurant. Warm and cozy.
I Just Want To Eat
I found Bricco looking for a reservation Midtown, on open table. Not sure I would have found it otherwise, the street it is located on not being that busy. Opened by restauranteur Nino Catuogno, the restaurant serves  Southern Italian cuisine with a Northern Italian flare. It is a big place for sure, painted in pastel colors matching the tablecloths and napkins, and with some interesting art on the wall. In the back is the wood fire oven where they make pizza: As well as the Carciofi Al Forno or brick-oven roasted artichokes: And probably the focaccia bread they brought to the table (I found it stale): When I looked at the menu, I could not miss the Polipo Alia Griglia or grilled octopus: I love grilled octopus: it is definitely hard to prepare as it needs to be cooked enough so it is not rubbery and I believe, needs a nice char that enhances the taste. It was served over a mesclun salad and topped with a mint sauce that had a very refreshing taste, without overpowering the octopus. If
