We originally made reservations at a different restaurant, but couldn’t be drawn to come visit San Marzano after passing by. We got lucky with a table that was free and we’re seated as walk in after about 20 min, but I would recommend coming prepared with a reservation because there was not a single empty seat.
We started with appetizers including the burrata, meatballs and cheesy garlic bread. We also opted in to getting 2 bottles of wine because of the decent price point of about $30. I absolutely love the “build your own” dinner option. All the pasta is made fresh in house. I went with the pappardelle with vodka sauce and shrimp(even though it’s not on the menu).
We had a great time and enjoyed the food, the only downfall was the tight seating and low tables which caused a bit of an issue for my boyfriend to sit comfortably in.

Bottomless brunch! I made a reservation for 15, and they were not ready for us. They took a few minutes to prepare the table and were so strict with the 90 minute bottomless mimosa time limit. I got the avocado toast, and it was so delicious! The mimosas were not that strong, which I liked. I would come back to this place for a big group. They had reservations open the night before.

I went into this very popular Italian restaurant just to take out dinner. They served it up well and in the time frame I was given as well as a glass of water while I waited. Delicious pasta w meatballs. Recommended.

The food at this Italian restaurant was reasonably priced, with options around $14 (excluding extras like sausage or meatballs). Although the restaurant lacks an upscale or elegant atmosphere, the food quality is a great value for the price. I've visited other Italian restaurants in the area with higher prices but similar quality. (To me, not significantly different)
The atmosphere is quite lively, especially on a busy Friday night in Manhattan. While it was noisy, the overall vibe was fun and enjoyable.
If you don't expect a high quality, then it's okay. At least, regarding the price, it's good
I got Alla Norma w Rigatoni noodle and the red Sangria.

San Marzano is a fantastic Italian restaurant located in the heart of New York City. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The restaurant boasts a vast selection of authentic Italian dishes, all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
The food at San Marzano is simply outstanding. From the appetizers to the desserts, each dish is packed with flavor and prepared with care. I particularly enjoyed the homemade pasta dishes, which were cooked to perfection and served with delicious sauces that complemented the pasta perfectly. The pizza is also a must-try, with a crispy crust and a variety of toppings to choose from.
The service at San Marzano is also excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations for wine pairings and sharing their favorite dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, and the staff make you feel right at home.
One of the most appealing aspects of San Marzano is the price. While dining out in New York can be expensive, San Marzano offers excellent value for money. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, making it a great option for anyone looking for delicious Italian food without breaking the bank.
Overall, I highly recommend San Marzano. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable for New York City. It's a great choice for anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in the heart of the city.

Introduced to this little gem by my sister and I wish I knew about it earlier. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was top tier. The meatballs were tasty, they literally melt in your mouth. Plenty of options to choose for pasta. The pasta is fresh and serving size is perfect.

Great little spot. Good Italian food in a great location with a fun vibe. This isn't fine dining it's a very casual stop in with a friend or a small group and grab a bite to eat and a drink kind of restaurant. Food was tasty, A little salty but not overwhelming. Sangria was a little weak but still tasty. Prices really can't be beat for the quality. This is my second time visiting, and I'd happily return again.

Very good pasta, not too bad price-wise for a New York restaurant. Definitely good if you want to dine out but not break the bank. I got the vecchia bettola with ricotta (which admittedly was a $3 addition) and I enjoyed all of it. Pasta is nice and al dente. The warm meal and the nice mellow atmosphere is cozy and a good stop especially as it gets colder.

We had a wonderful time here! Brunch was delicious, pasta was fresh, and the drinks well balanced. We chose the bottomless brunch with its prefixed menu for a budget friendly option. Denise, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive. They even let us bring in an outside cake to celebrate our special occasion. I will definitely be back!

Nice place to have a brunch and some drinks.
I had Spaghetti Mialino with Chicken and Ricotta cheese which was good. Had mimosas and omlette, they were good too. Staff were very friendly and the place has a good vibe to it.
I wanted to have Italian and my wife wanted to have brunch and this place was ideal for both of us. Would definitely recommend this place.

It was busy on a friday night! Me in a group of 4 got lucky to be seated at 6:30 at an outdoor table. The heaters were helpful with keeping our upper body warm. The food portion for its price for pasta/apps and some drinks was actually pretty worth and not overpriced. The garlic bread was ok nothing too fancy but good filling. We had the willd boar ragu, shrimp scampi, and pesto and bolognese. But we all wiped our plates cleaned. The only suggestion i have is for there to be some dietary options added onto the menu for people to know what they can have in alternative. Ex: i asked the server what options can be dairy free and he mentioned most can be switched and mentioned pesto doesnt have dairy in it... which pesto does have parm in it. We were ok with it but others might still want to dine here and have some options. Will be back to try other things!
