Review Lilly's Craft And Kitchen - New York City

Joanie Axelbaum
Cute bar with upscale pub grub. Exposed brick and currently decorated for the Dec holidays. Convenient spot to grab some food before a Broadway show. During the week, they had a happy hour special until 8pm. Don't get this confused with Lilly's Victorian which is nearby and very different.

We found this place on our last night in NYC and I cannot recommend it enough! A really nice atmosphere, a nice selection of drinks and our best service during the whole trip - Russell the server and the other staff that night were friendly, efficient and really welcoming. The food was glorious (there are veg options also) but I hadn't realised the steak came with a side so was beaten by the volume of food! A really nice place to sit and eat without feeling rushed or bothered so well worth your visit. Thank you

The cocktails were on point! We also loved the service! I really enjoyed the crispy sriracha springs rolls! The sliders were good but needed a sauce on the side- Mac & cheese didn’t have a pull but still tasted really good! Salad was refreshing and the lamb shank was great- every cocktail we had was delicious!

Everything was great - food, cocktails and service. The portions are huge. We had a starter to share for two people and one main course each and we couldn't finish everything.

Cool place! We went here following a show at a theater nearby and it was the perfect spot to grab a drink and hang out as a group. Plus, even though this place had the feel of a local bar, there was a DJ set up near the entrance who mixed a great selection of music. I probably hung around an extra hour just to hear what he'd play next!

Lilly’s is the perfect spot to pop in for a drink or enjoy high quality casual dining. Conveniently located on 9th, the atmosphere is that of a charming upscale bar, with attentive service, delicious food and an extensive range of drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed the shepherds pie on a cold winter evening with their house beer!

Came around opening time and there were already a couple people inside. Would recommend making a reservation just in case! Don’t like the stool seating, it’s very limiting especially now that people have coats and bags. They have limited hooks. Food was good, the French Toast Sticks were amazing! That’s my recommendation. We went during happy hour and spent around $180 (including tip) for 3 people with drinks and food. Decor is also very nice around the holidays. :)

Great spot for a quick and easy brunch, with delicious cocktails available. Well priced with a good value bottomless brunch option. Very popular spot on a weekend. Fortunately managed to get a spot quickly but reservations in advance are advised for groups larger than two!

My friend and I went there for the bottomless brunch on a Sunday. It wasn't super crowded and not too loud. Our waitress, Leah, was terrific! My friend and I hadn't seen each other in years and we had a lot of catching up to do. Leah never rushed us or asked us to leave, even after a few hours! She just refilling our drinks, she really offered great service. Because of this, I'd return. Also, the food and drinks were yummy.

The service is fast and good hand down ! I got bottomless mimosas worth every penny! Also I ordered an skort rib Benedict the Benedict was tasty but the potatoes that came with it were a bit over fried and hard. Side of bacon was pretty good, thick cut bacon is the best! Over all service is fast you will get your food with in 10 min of your order! Definitely recommend the place!

We stopped in for a snack and a drink. The waitress was great. Got us seated and drinks as soon as we walked. We ordered fries with poutine. We have ordered this at many other locations. The poutine is normally a brown gravy. This was much better as there was meat in the gravy. Best I have had.

Food was ok to good.. I had the lobster sandwich... Which is NOT a lobster roll ..my mistake.... it was ok, but wouldn't get it again. Really good service, server had a genuine interest in our experience. Will return, likely for drinks and snacks.. good value for Midtown.

We got there just as they were opening up for brunch, so we were the first ones to walk in to the restaurant. The inside was a typical, long and narrow set up as many restaurants in the city. It had a really nice, looong bar with bar counter, and crazy amount of bar stools. They had table seating across from the bar, good amount of them. We started our brunch with a cup of coffee which came with free refill. It was a good cup of coffee to wake us up and get our stomach ready for some food. We ordered Crispy French Toast and The Lilly’s Breakfast Burger. I somehow thought their French Toast would be small, but it was a pretty good portion. It comes with a choice of bacon or sausage, and we chose bacon. And my goodness the bacon was amazing! The French Toast was rather interesting. They seemed to be coated with corn flake or something similar, creating that crunch. The burger was huge, I mean, really big! The patty was cooked a bit more than how we requested, so it was a bit more on the dry side. I prefer super juicy burger patty, but the egg helped some on that part. The patty was still tasty and flavorful. The veggies were super fresh and buns were soft and airy. Overall, it was a good burger. Our server, Shannon was really nice. She was friendly, tentative, and took a good care of us with a smile. Another cool thing about them was that on the bottom of their drinks and dessert menu, it said “5% off food with a Yelp Check-In.” Of course we checked in with Yelp, and showed it to our server. It only applies to “food” items, not drinks. Read my full review of the restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

I came here with a big group during pride for Sunday brunch. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. The drinks and food were good. There’s both indoor and out door seating. I had the salmon Benedict and really enjoyed it.

Honestly probably the worst culinary experience I've had in years, which is saying a lot. Stopped by with some friends around 1:15 AM (kitchen closes at 2 AM) for some bites and beer. Service was friendly and the waitress was great. Water was refilled quickly and beer came out fast. The house pilsner was pretty meh, but whatever. We ordered the poutine, lobster truffle mac and cheese, and the chef's burger. Which took an hour to come out. The poutine was probably the most acceptable out of the three, but they used a British gravy on it which left everything soggy. The braised beef was decent though. Not enough cheese curds. The "lobster truffle" mac and cheese had neither of these things. They put (frozen!) crawfish tails into sour-tasting, watery mac and cheese that was worse than any boxed variety you could get. When I asked them if a mistake was made, the kitchen told us that it was lobster. I was not drunk, nor could I be drunk enough to mistake crawfish from lobster. It honestly tasted terrible and I didn't even want to eat it. They took it off the bill, which is fine but that's really not the point. Don't give me that BS. The burger was over-cooked as heck, dry, and disgusting. Don't go here.

Food excellent. Our server Tina was very attentive and efficient. However... we were seated at a large high top near the front and it was very loud.

Loved this bar/restaurant- we went for brunch on a Friday morning at 10:30, called ahead for reservations. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly- we had the bottomless Mimosas $24 for 90 minuets. Salmon Benedict was very tasty, salmon was fresh, the English muffin perfectly toasted and the eggs were fresh. We also had the eggs w avocado- all ingredients were fresh and the dish was presented nicely. My only complaint was that it was very warm in the restaurant, they did not turn the AC on until almost noon which caused us to swelter while eating. There are ceiling fans but we were in the very back and no air was moving that far back. I would definitely go back and sit in a different area.

Great staff! Great drinks! Great food! Whether you are going for a quick drink or 7. One of my fave spots in the neighborhood. Peter and Jacob always make you feel welcome, along with the others.

Fantastic place !!! Loved it. Craft beer , fabulous cocktail and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back and we're only here on holiday for 10 days !

It was awful! My fries were cold my, avocado was brown, and my bread was burnt and dry. The only thing good was the beer and wine. Maybe they should stop serving food and just stick to what they know.

Lilly’s is a super cool place. Cam our bartender was fantastic and very engaging. We had burgers and fries, both burgers were cooked perfectly and piled high with extras. Will definitely go back next time I am in NYC.
