Terrific destination for business lunch! Tables very comfortable, not too much noise for relaxed conversation. Steaks cooked to perfection, service was excellent. Will definitely return.

The only better salmon I’ve had is at my brother’s place on Puget Sound, which is saying a lot!!! Very dark inside. And hot.

Amazing experience for lunch with a crew of work folks. The staff was super attentive from the minute we walked in the door. Food came fast and tasted great. The steaks melt in your mouth. Everything was full of flavor and worth a try. Between all of us we tried a lot of the menu and no one had a complaint. This juicy steak went down like butter. So good, give it a try if you haven't or are in town.

Thank you for reading. I recently visited on a Sunday late afternoon. Being a single, I sat at the bar. Salvatore the bartender was in charge. I’ve been to NYC dozens and dozens of times, it’s great to find a new find for me! Simply- my meal was great. After a V Martini (rocks) I ordered dinner. Simple: Wedge Salad, 8oz Strip and a side of mushrooms. The salad was wonderful and very tasty. My steak was perfectly done and it was tender as a Mothers love. The mushrooms were also very good. I had several glasses of red wine (all recommended by S) that were great. My bill was frankly a value. Recommended.

Cool atmosphere. Steaks were amazing. Appetizers were very good. Only thing we didn't like was the cauliflower. Other than that, would have been a 5

Uncle Jack's Steakhouse almost got 5 Stars. This restaurant has a great location only a few blocks from New York Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, not very far from other attractions such as Broadway or Empire State building. I've always wanted to check this place out as it is only a few hundred feet away from the B and H Superstore on the 9th Avenue. I finally got a chance to try it before heading off to the Billy Joel concert at MSG. Like another reviewer, I got there right before the dinner rush with my wife and niece. We were able to snag a table without any issues. However, I did notice that 45 minutes later around 6:30 PM people having difficulty getting a table without a wait. Before I get to areas that were negative and there were only a few (major ones if you have a disability), let's accentuate the positive. The staff were super gracious and attentive. The food, was excellent. We had the Wagyu Kobe Meatballs as the App. and they were melt in your mouth delicious. The entrees did not disappoint. My wife had the salmon (I know, salmon in a steak place?) and my niece and I had the boneless aged NY strip. All were cooked to perfection and one would expect nothing less from a landmark steakhouse. We shared the sides, loaded mash potatoes, Sauteed asparagus and a creamy corn dish. Seasoning and temperature all on point. Some Observations – This restaurant is wheelchair accessible from the street to the main seating area and bar are accessible for wheelchairs or scooters. Tables were large and could easily handle multiple wheelchairs. The staff appeared to be familiar with wheelchair seating as they mentioned providing the right kind of table. We were seated but soon found out that there was a slight leak in the roof when my wife noticed water droplets on my shirt and napkin. We moved the table over and they were very apologetic, however when I looked up at the ceiling it appears that this has been a long-standing issue as the paint peeled around the park that was leaking and you could tell there was water damage that had been there for a while. This is surprising for such a high-end restaurant. —The restrooms to this restaurant are upstairs and they are in accessible to wheelchairs or people with mobility issues or devices. If using a restroom is super important to you you may want to skip this restaurant. — Like most restaurant in this area especially since the development of the Hi-Line and Billionaires Row things are pricey. This is not a budget restaurant, as an example 5 small appetizer meatballs cost $25. The most expensive protein item on the menu is the Kobe beef steak, 16 ounces for $300 (sides not included). There are options such as the ones that we chose network $35, however, if you are coming to this place or any other place in New York City and our meeting someone who may not be able to afford these prices, please be cognizant of your privilege.

I stopped in for a quick bite when I arrived in NY and I loved it! Aside from the food being immaculate, my waiter/bartender was very friendly and made sure I had a good experience. I tried their lamb lollipops and their lobster Mac and cheese, it was so good. I also had a few glasses of Prosecco, which were smooth. I have already notified my husband that we will visit this restaurant again when we return to NY this year. I cannot wait!

Great steaks, great service, and an amazing desert finish. It's excellent all around.

This place is just as amazing as I remember it being 5 plus years ago! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday; after spending the past year in a half listening to me rave on about this place and specifically this peanut butter bacon dish they have 😬 & let me tell you it definitely didn’t disappoint🤤🤤! Everything was beyond exceptional; from the service, to the food. We will be visiting again for sure. & if you’re are in the area I definitely recommend stopping in and meeting some friendly faces. &&& the bacon!! Don’t forget to try the bacon!

11/28/21- Great aged steaks, great service and a great time! We arrived for an early dinner with no reservations and we’re seated immediately. They had just opened for dinner so the restaurant was empty. Our servers were very attentive and helped us to have a great time.

I tend not to eat in the area but I popped out of the AMC cinemas on 34th, absolutely starving having just watched the new Napoleon film, and decided to give it a go. This first I noticed when led to my table (I was on my own and wearing a hoody, so didn’t look too smart) was the impeccable service. This is not just “they were so friendly” good service, it is a full on professional operation. Excellent suggestion on the wine, water frequently topped up, staff attentive but not overbearing. The whole team serving is you are consistent with this, it’s clearly very well managed. Onto the food. I had an 8oz filet mignon ($45) with garlic mashed potatoes ($12) and a pepper sauce, ordered medium rare. The steak was expertly cooked, fantastic quality and very fine. I ordered a glass of red wine, also very good. The restaurant (this was the Friday following thanksgiving) was moderately busy, calm jazz in the background, nice clientele. Price wise I think it’s actually incredibly good value, the food and service are of such high quality, there were various other cuts of meat at a higher price point but I was on my own so didn’t feel like indulging too much. Restaurant has a number of cosy booths, private dining room, and it appears an upstairs with balcony overlooking the restaurant. Very lovely meal this evening. I’ll be sure to return with friends and family in the future.

First time to visit for a business lunch as I moved nearby. It was nice traditional steakhouse like many that have been in NYC for decades. Good food and menu covered all the basics of what a traditional steakhouse should cover on the menu. Good food and service and was present experience

Changing my review to absolutely hated this place. I ended up with food poisoning and it ruined our time in NYC, which our purpose was wedding dress shopping. I ordered the French dip and when I received it it was very raw in the middle so I tried eating just the outside portion of the sandwich but I couldn’t do it. They did take this off of our bill however no ones dinner was good and for the prices they charge it was the worst meal I’ve ever had anywhere in my life. I would never return and I would never recommend this place to anyone. We even called the restaurant to tell them I ended up with food poisoning and no one has called us back yet.

This place was great. Service was great and fast. Very good food. I had the waygu steak... melts in your mouth. I also have a very bad stomach and there food did not upset it at all. They side are kind of small to shear if you were really hungry but the price of the side are very cheap compared to other places so it's really no different if you order 2 sides. All and all I had an awesome experience here.

We went here after our wedding 5 yrs ago And this evening for our anniversary and the staff was Wonderful. Wedge salad, filet mignon (prepared to perfection), huge loaded baked potato (shared) and complimentary chocolate shouffle With dessert wine along with exemplary service at one of the best tables in the house, made for a memorable Anniversary. We would definitely recommend to anyone for every day or special occasion. Thank You Uncle Jack's.

Food & service was exceptional! From the appetizers to the mains, to the coffee & desserts...I could not fault a thing. For those that enjoy a lovely red wine with a good piece of steak, I highly recommend pairing the Tuscan wines with the Porterhouse Steak for 2 - worth every penny we’ll definitely be back, thank you for a most enjoyable evening!

Such an amazing experience. The filet mignon and the sides are to die for. The service was 5 star for sure. The staff was amazing. Professional yet personable. Made you feel like royalty. I highly recommend.

love the ambiance, service was amazing....i had a strip steak and it was "ok" ... bit disappointed as it was advertised as aged. It was dry and gritty. The asparagus overcooked and the mushrooms a bit of mush. But i would go back, i like the place

Excellent food and service. Waiters were very atttentive. I went with a girlfriend who bought a groupon and it was absolutely worth every mouthful. The appetizers was mouth watering and left me wanting more snd more. The macaroni snd cheese was just perfect. The steak fabulicious. Desert, wow, the keyline pie was out of this world. Will definitely be returning.

We were there last nite. Not too happy with the food. Steak price went up $75.00 that does not in including sides. Sweet potato fries were raw. Veggies that were served with sea bass were cold. No bread is give unless you know to ask for it and when they bring you bread it’s just one piece. We all like bread with our dinner, had to keep asking for and some of it was stale. The pork chop is mostly bone. Don’t think we will be going back, Time to find a different place.

Beautiful food, probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The waiters and waitresses are very polite and nothing is an issue. Definitely go back, if or when we return to New York

Brilliant meal with friends. The food was excellent, so was the service. Recommend sharing veg side dishes between 3. Also the bread to start was the bread I have ever tasted! 100% recommend to friends and family visiting from the UK. 5 stars

Loved the Rib Eye - Medium Well done with a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes while my colleague loved his grilled chicken.

The choice of beers and accompaniments made it a fabulous lunch.

The food here was amazing. Excellent steak that they prepared to perfection. My husband and friend had the Tomahawk steaks, large and beautifully prepared. I had a lobster cocktail and the surf and turf also all excellent. Excellent addition of sauces, the chimmichuri was fresh and an added extra. Service was good.

Uncle Jack's is my new favorite NYC destination to eat at....I went there just the other day with a good friend. I ordered the Prime Filet Mignon Sandwich, and he got the Wagyu Beef Ravioli....the Sandwich was very well-prepared, and the greens, herb fries, and Buffalini mozzarella complimented it perfectly. It was beyond-scrumptious! My friend swore the Ravioli was just as delicious. Plus, their service simply cannot be beat. I'll definitely be heading back to Uncle Jack's soon.

Disappointed. Went to the city to see the 911 Memorial, get some Christmas spirit at Rockefeller Center, then have a fabulous dinner. After walking around in 25 degree weather for 2 hours, we were so ready to relax at the bar before our meal. Well the bar is tiny but we managed to get 2 seats IN the bar but not at the bar. Drinks were pricey but expected so in NY. After 2 drinks each and $60 poorer, we were shown our small table. The waiter was nice but spoke so fast. My husband got the 16oz. fillet and I got my favorite, a 16oz. New York Strip. We were told to share the baked potato as they are quite large. I also ordered broccoli and we had house salads. The bread was delicious, and then came the salads. Why would a restaurant use hard, tasteless, mealy tomatoes in their salad? How about a few grape tomatoes instead? Each salad had an entire quartered tomato which was sent to the garbage! Out came the entrees and we instantly knew this was not going to be good. My NY strip came with a bone(not attached, just on the plate) and the steak was only 1/2 thick and small. My husbands fillet was VERY rare and he asked for medium so it was sent back. I cut into my steak and saw it was almost well done, I asked for medium, and it was very tough and gristly. The potato was good and huge. I had to ask for salt. The broccoli was bland, and barely cooked! It needed to be cut with a steak knife and had zero seasoning. We were told it is cooked al dente! So after I eat what I can of my steak, my husband flags down a waiter and told him not to bother with his steak since I am done eating. They didn't charge us for the meal but now we are pissed and hungry. We passed a McDonalds on the way back to our hotel and got take out. We eat fast food maybe once every 2 years, because it is junk, but better than Uncle Jack's! Now I won't be able to watch his show any more ;(

Don't Miss Uncle Jack's. My daughter and I popped into Uncle Jack's after the theatre, before boarding our return bus. What a wonderful choice. The service was excellent and the conversation with the staff was engaging. Our steaks and sweet potato fries were outstanding, cooked to order and served promptly. If you enjoy good steak and you value friendly and well-trained staff, you should not miss Uncle Jack's. Five STARS *****

Disappointed. Food was fine and prices are reasonable, but service was disjointed only was expecting more as Uncle Jacks claims to be best in NYC.

Delivers The Goods. It is just what it says it is. Good quality steaks. All the usual sides. Friendly and spot on service. The prices are outrageously high as they are at all the other top steakhouses... don't go here and think you're gonna eat cheap. But you are going to leave happy. Absolutely no complaints!
Greg
Very good, but pricey for such small cuts of meat. The menu is primarily steak and steak only. Large side dishes available - we ordered asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Ordered a medium well 24oz NY Strip of which a chunck is bone. Literally came quickly on a plate by itself, cooked in its own juices and delicious, but not as large as I thought. The mashed were heavily 'garlicked.' Our sommelier brought someone else's wine, but it was tasty. I stuck with Hendricks Gin. reservation was at 10:30 on Saturday night and it was not very busy at all.

What a treat! Walked past it on the way to my hotel and took a chance. The filet was amazing, and mashed sweet potato is a rare find. The chocolate souffle was predictably excellent. Great staff, inviting interior design, exactly what a steakhouse should be.

Sat at the bar and had the Filet Mignon. The meat was perfectly cooked and the sides were excellent. Thumbs up for an attentive bartender who made the excursion wonderful.
BC
Iffy service, average steaks. The service was iffy and not very friendly. Several folks had their steaks cooked differently than requested. My bone in strip steak was tasty, but nothing to rationalize the high prices. Enjoyed the pecan pie dessert.

Everyone made us feel important at Uncle Jack's Steakhouse. We were just schmoes off the street who came in for a good steak and we were treated like big shots. Uncle Jack's is the epitome of a classic New York steakhouse. Great service, great food and total customer satisfaction. .
