Cozy, classy and romantic atmosphere. The staffs were helpful and attentive also friendly as well. Had to 4 courses tasting. All 4 dishes was amazing, well seasoned and balanced, flavorful, cooked to perfection. The price is expensive for the average Joe. The food organic in a fine dining setting. Overall great experience and good for special occasions and events.

Mas (farmhouse) is top notch. The service is what really elevates this place above and beyond. Every member of the staff new our names from the moment we stepped inside, from the delightful bartender to the host to the server and so on. Service is accommodating and unobtrusive. Food is delicious, and the chef's tasting menu is a superb treat. Wines are excellent, perhaps even the highlight of the meal. Overall a phenomenal experience and a wonderful way to celebrate a milestone birthday.

Farm to table at its absolute best. I took my girlfriend and family there for a special meal. We were early and they gladly sat us and gave is wonderful drink options while we waited for the last of our group to arrive. No rushing involved. And the food was stellar with the multiple courses and options. This was my second visit and I would go back for a third.

It's hard to say what's better: the food, the service or the wine because they are all phenomenal. The quality of the food is second to none. The 4-course seasonal menu is the way to go. The 6-course tasting is also incredible and you get a lot of off-menu gems. This restaurant does not have the pretentious vibe that most high-end places do and the servers really do make sure you have a fantastic evening. They have a very well-curated wine list, but the best option is to let your server pair wine with your dinner. They all have fantastic wine knowledge, especially Aly, and they don't go overboard and pour their most expensive stuff. It's hard to say what my favorite part of my meal was because everything works in perfect harmony.

Menu gives all types of culinary experience. Wine choices were excellent. Love the wood and stone on the walls. Try to get the corner table near the window. Great place to eat, meet famous people and enjoy a culinary experience beyond all thought. Staff was perfect on suggestions. It was also nice that the chef brought out a few teaser extras to compliment the excellent menu.

I was taken here for my birthday and had a tasting menu. The restaurant interior was beautiful, the courses were fresh and delicious (they change the menu daily!) and it was not stuffy in the slightest. They also work with you if you don't love every course on the tasting menus. You can even get a beer or cider if you want!

The food at Mas was absolutely delicious! They seem to update their menu often, all of which include farmhouse ingredients. The drinks are also very creative, and the bartender was very impressive. The place is a bit loud however, and the crowd was not to my taste overall. The prices are not cheap, but given how delicious the food is, well, it's well worth it!

Pricey for the average joe, but a wonderful experience. 4 course tasting menu and a few cocktails a piece made for a very pleasant anniversary dinner. Service was professional but very kind. Busy on a Tuesday but the reservation was easy to come by a few days in advance. Thank you Mas!!!

This was the best meal I've had in NY so far. The tasting menu is the way to go, and the service is special. Caring and personal. It's clear that the chef and owners of this establishment are truly passionate about food. The flavors on every plate are perfectly crafted.

Wow! What a great night. We got the full tasting menu with pairings and were here for over 3 hours. Everything was delicious and carefully considered, and our waiter Akira was very friendly and delivered a stellar dining experience.

A wonderful dinning experience for sure. We got the four course menu which at $88 is not cheap but is well worth it especially for a special occasion. All of the food is great, and the service is as much a show as anything with choreographed food presentation. Definitely will have to find an excuse to return!

Excellent Meal, Service, and Ambiance - Mas (Farmhouse), whose name Mas comes from dialectical French for farmhouse, and is pronounced as "ma" with a silent s, was a wonderful experience for us. On a leafy tree-lined West Village street, it had a discreet, relaxing interior. We had expected to sit in the front area, along the cushion-lined sides, but instead we were shown to the back room, an aesthetically-appealing room, darker, sedate and cool. I will not detail our meal, other than to say that e chose the four (4) course tasting menu, for which we were allowed to choose from the tasting menu but also from the entire menu, since my spouse was averse to some of the choices on the tasting, primarily because of the meat choices. Service was accommodating and attentive.

Mas farmhouse pairs incredibly fresh ingredients with inventive takes on New American cuisine to deliver a wonderful dinner in an almost sublime setting. Perfect for couples, the service is very attentive and helpful in navigating the flexible menu, which can be molded into any kind of tasting menu of your choice (though prices will vary if you stray from the core suggestions for the evening). The wine list leans toward higher end vintages, but offers a good selection that isn't astronomical. When you're looking to take "date night" to the next level, Mas should be at the top of your list in the West Village.

this is the place in nyc for an intimate special-occasion dinner. its elegant yet understated decor, how-can-i-help-you service, and fresh, creative cuisine will run up a notable tab, but the food is beautifully presented, and the atmosphere serene (in the back room especially). on balance, we've never had a more satisfying dining experience anywhere...on earth. yes, mas!

After one of my friends had recommended to try Mas Farmhouse, I have finally made the trek here. Mas (farmhouse) is, in sum, an amazing American restaurant in the Village. Using local ingredients, this place simply does personify farm to table. When you first enter, you'll be greeted with their amazing bar. Make sure to order the Mas Manhattan because this drink is amazing.
The restaurant itself isn't large by any means, but that results in a more intimate atmosphere. With regards to the menu itself, there are a couple of ways in which you can dine here:
1. Ala carte
2. 4-course customized tasting menu ($78)
3. 6-course chef's menu ($115)
I decided to build my own tasting menu with the following dishes:
- Roasted sunchoke apple cider soup with glazed duck leg, roasted hon shimeji mushrooms and walnut oil
- Long Island fluke crusted with sea scallops in hearts of palm a la Barigoule and smoked shitake mushrooms
- Macadamia crusted duck breast with crispy duck leg confit, kohlrabi sweet potato gratin and kale
- Cocoa nib panna cotta over dark chocolate cake with espresso meringue and espresso mousse
With the duck breast, I did go with the addition of perigord truffles for an extra $25. You can add truffles to any dish for $25, but with what I ordered, I felt that it would pair best with the duck. First off, the soup was a great choice. It wasn't overly sweet, which I was worried about, and the addition of the duck leg and shimeji mushrooms serve as great complements. Next, the fluke came out as a filet with slices of scallops on top. The fish was tender, and I'm just a sucker for mushrooms in general. Of course, my favorite dish of the night was the duck breast. With the addition of black truffles, how can you really go wrong right? The duck was perfectly cooked to a medium-rare state and when paired with the sweet potato gratin, it makes a great marriage of flavors. Lastly, the panna cotta served up to be quite the finisher. It was incredibly creamy, and the chocolate cake had just the right amount of bitterness to go against the sweetness of the dessert.
For those who appreciate fine wine, the wine list at Mas (farmhouse) is actually pretty decent. Our party ordered three bottles over the course of our meal, and each was full bodied. Sadly, I wasn't in charge of ordering the wine, so I can't really pinpoint exactly which wine was ordered.
Overall, my experience at Mas (farmhouse) was simply amazing. From the intimate setting to the customizable tasting menu, Mas (farmhouse) has it all. The dishes are amazingly prepared, presentation is exquisite, and the service is top notch. At roughly $100-$150 a person, the food here is definitely worth every penny.

Overall a nice evening, and the food was excellent, if not stellar, but the service was decidedly distracted. Bread arrived promptly (at least the busboys hustle), but we waited 45 minutes for an amuse bouche, let alone the 1st course. Server was honest & apologetic - he'd forgotten to submit the order. Naturally, our bouches weren't amused. Obscenely expensive wine list, with a few real dogs (avoid the marsanne/roussane from CA at all costs).
