The food was very good. We enjoyed both the lobster and the dessert crepes, and the beet salad with endive was so different and delicious. The place could have been a little bit cleaner, food fell on us from the linen tablecloths under the paper ones. But otherwise the place was charming, would definitely return.

One of my favorite restaurants; ate there for the first time in 1972 only because Marie came to the TKTS line and handed out flyers--the selling point: a free glass of white or red wine with your meal. Have gone there every time I am in NYC since then. Chris is a great host.

Really nice atmosphere. Nice and cozy. Waiters are nice. Great food and deserts! I ordered lobster bisque and duck *picture* (waiter said it is the most popular dish). They have 2 options, 2 or 4 course menus.

We decided to pop in for dinner right before a show and it did not disappoint. The french onion soup rich and had the perfect flavor and delicious saltiness. The cheese was gooey just like you would want. I got the crispy duck and it was moist and the sauce was great. My wife got the coq au vin, the sauce was good, but the chicken was a bit on the dry side. Overall though it was quite good and not too expensive (for New York).

15th Anniversary Delight, super night. Held table while we were stuck in traffic since we had a reservation. Perfect menu, GF pasta options, stellar service. Pear and ice cream dessert and cheesecake both were stellar! Loved the Eggplant Napoleon. Everyone at our table ate everything. Duck, steak, it was all cooked superbly and every ate every bit. Would go back in a minute. Also was super super close to Frozen, Phantom and Anastasia. Less than five minute walk. And parking garages are near by. It was the perfect family owned feeling NYC restaurant. I wish I could go back tonight! I'd even order the eggplant all over again....

A hidden gem! We went there pre-theater and had the duck (pictured). Excellently prepared and the present was so pretty. I started with the French onion soup , my husband had the salad. He likes the vinaigrette as he said it had a hint of mustard that was tasty. Service was spot-on as well. We had a lot of wine (don’t judge me) and they ended up giving us several glasses on the house. Love this spot, especially the atmosphere-very warm and cozy!

Frequently eat there. Our go-to place while in NYC… the food is outstanding. Love the onion soup, pate, snails! Close to the theaters and the staff is warm , friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait for them to re-open!

A nice and homey restaurant with great service and good food at a fair price considering it’s location. Came on a Wednesday night around 6 with the wife. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded so there was little trouble with having a conversation during the meal. Waiter constantly checks in on patrons from time to time to make sure no one was missing their show. We took our time with our dishes and weren’t rushed at all. Dishes came out shortly after finishing each course. Appetizers and entrees were seasoned well and are sizable portions (Escargot, clams, sea scallops and duck). A nice spot for a good meal hidden from all of the flashing lights and chaos that is only steps away.

One of the better meals I've had in the US. French dining, by the way, isn't fast. Don't plan on a drive by meal. Some reviews complained about speed and service; dinner was 1 hr 45 min which is typical. Awesome location right by the Richard Rogers Theatre for a Hamilton showing. The scallops were perfect, shrimp cocktail super fresh, beef was like the best pot roast you could have and I even ate my carrots. Also, multi course dinner for 2 with tip and wine = $125 in NYC, next to the theatre, a block from time square. Win.

One of my favorite places to eat. The food is excellent and the staff is amazing. It is like eating at t your friends house. They all treat you like you are a friend of the family. I brought my parents who are from out of town before we saw a show. They LOVED IT! And they were so kind to make sure we werent late to our show. Seriously you have to go. Best place!
