Raines Law Room is a super classy, intimate speakeasy serving up some awesome cocktails. It can get pretty packed so it's smart to make a reservation. If my husband and I stop by on a whim and get a table we always feel so lucky. Even if there's a wait, it's worth it for a spot at our favorite speakeasy. Once inside, you feel like you're back in the 20s. The menu of cocktails is quite extensive, but is broken up by categories so you can easily find the type of drink you're looking for. As expected, Raines is pricey with drinks costing around $19. However, everything I've ordered here has been great, and no matter how busy it is, I've also always had great service. Next to each table is a bell you can ring for your server so you are never without a drink for too long! Raines is a great evening spot when you're looking for a bougie cocktail.

Great cocktail menu in this speakeasy style cocktail bar, I tried the "Whiskey Business" and "Eightfold Path", both of which I greatly enjoyed. They have switches at the table to call over the waiters, which is a nice touch. You can book for certain evenings, although we managed to get the last two-person table late on a Sunday night. The entrance is partially hidden down an undercover staircase - press the doorbell for entry. The cheque came to about $80 for two cocktails each, which I felt was quite reasonable for the quality of drinks, service and atmosphere.

Raines Law Room in Manhattan is like stepping into a secret club from the Roaring Twenties! The entrance, with its hidden doorbell, makes you feel like you're in on something exclusive and cool. As a person of color, hitting up fancy places in the city can sometimes feel iffy, but Raines Law Room was a breath of fresh air. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which instantly put me at ease. Inside, the place is decked out with comfy seats and moody lighting. The snacks they serve are just the right match for their wine selection ( which is limited, but they have amazing cocktails). Raines Law Room isn't just a bar; it's like time-traveling to a classy, inclusive hangout where you're treated like a VIP. It's an awesome spot in Manhattan that's all about great vibes, good drinks, and making everyone feel at home. Shout out to the host V for good vibes and good energy!!

I’ve been here multiple times now and have always enjoyed the drinks and the hospitality. We once spent a friend’s birthday here and the hosts were nice enough to receive a cake from DoorDash, set it up for us and help us celebrate in style.

This is a sexy lounge with a bespoke vibe, velvet couches, mesh privacy curtains - an upscale cocktail menu including a page of delightful zero proof drinks made with herbal seedlip “spirits.” Perfect setting for conversation, slow sips and parties of 6 or fewer. Be warned the bathroom will have you thinking about what might just happen after you leave the lounge. Don’t bring your platonic friend here or they might get the wrong idea. Note - occasionally closed for private parties. Reservation recommended.

Always fantastic drinks, the staff are great and the vibes is a good balance of relaxed but still a bit "put together". I highly recommend this place. My only tiny quibble is that the music can be a tad bit loud for a speak easy....the music is pretty good too.

It's a fun place, definitely recommend. The atmosphere is nice, music is not too loud and the ordering via pulling on the chain is convenient. The cocktails are good. Depending on what time you plan on going, you might want to reserve a space.

Arrr, mateys! In but a few words... This here establishment be classy as a fine treasure chest. In a few more words - They craft their grog with a plethora of choices, and I be downright flabbergasted by their early openin' time - 2PM?? Most places of this sort tend to hoist the flag at the strike of six. One could argue it's a sought-after haven, but even with its early hours, this place boasts a marvelous ambiance. It be cozy, bathed in dim light, furnished fit for royalty, and manned by a crew as pleasurable as a gentle sea breeze. 'Tis an experience to behold, whether ye be a landlubber takin' your first step into a speakeasy or a seasoned sailor who's yet to set foot here. Ye can venture alone (though steer clear come 5 PM on weekends if ye seek a seat). I sampled the Amber Old Fashioned from the stirred and potent selection, and let me tell ye, it did not disappoint. Not for the weak-hearted, but it has a smoothness that'll warm yer soul. For me second round, I ordered the Fedora. It treads a similar path as the Amber but with a touch less force. Make no mistake - it packs a punch. A splendid visit on the high seas, indeed!
