Im just stopped to taking a cocktail(really good) and I left the place so happy. The waiters invented me. I don’t know why, but they were very kind with me. I am attaching the pics that I was taking while writing.

Had great experience, i made the reservation near perry street since after brunch i was planning to visit carry bradshaws apartment, so founf this place on google, we asked for outdoor seating and they gave us table!! Amazing and polite service, loved the quantity and quality of food and the ambiance is refreshing plus it was beautiful out so made it even better. Definitely visiting again, would love to try dinner.

Came here on a Monday night at 8pm and most tables were empty, so we could have walked it without reservation. The place was cute and more on the casual side. The food was okay.. we shared the Greek salad, which wasn’t actually a traditional Greek salad and I also had the Virgin chicken, which I do not recommend. It was try and not flavorful enough. It’s not a bad date spot, but don’t go there for the food alone.

You can always count on a delicious meal at Extra Virgin! Not to mention that J.R., the manager, is a pleasure! Before the pandemic, we used to live in the neighborhood and were regulars. We came back tonight to find that they expanded their outdoor sitting - which by the way looks great and super cozy - and the food is still superb!!! We each had an appetizer and an entree, and a couple Aperol Spritz, and the evening was nothing other than perfect.

Came in for brunch. I ordered the avocado toast. So delicious. It was a great mix of flavors. They all complimented eachother very well. It was refreshing and flavorful but no overbearing. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The day time ambiance was great. My date ordered the salmon eggs Benedict but he wasn’t too keen on it. But for what it’s worth he ate it all. I liked their ice americano. Funny that it came in this huge glass cup but so good!

This place is amazing! It was packed and the staff were friendly and accommodating. As vegetarians we can be demanding yet the dishes served up were scrumptious. Highly recommend Extra Virgin to anyone that is wanting to have an upscale NYC experience in the west village. We will be back!! And dog friendly too! ❤️🐕❤️❤️🐩❤️

Neighborhood restaurant in The Village - West 4th. Super cozy with attentive waitstaff. The food had great complexity of flavors, my Cod had the brightness of pomegranate seeds-I would have hoped it came out hot, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying. Small bar area great for meeting friends.

The salmon entree was good, but the music was great and seating was comfortable. Staff were friendly. I like that there is outdoor seating. You have to come early between 5-6pm if you are driving 🚗 because parking can be difficult. I recommend taking the subway or walking.

Great staff, service and location. Decent food. They take reservations, but for ourside seating there is usually a wait (during appropriate weather). Outside seating is great for people watching. Only issue I had was that the salmon on my eggs Benedict was too salty. Bar menu inside has more cocktail options. Overall it's a great place for brunch.

This was my srvongome eating here. The service is excellent and the food is delicious! The mushroom crusted chicken is awesome. I called to see how busy they were and when I got there the person remembered speaking with me and got me a table right away. Highly recommend this place.

Chic, girly, always busy for brunch, great menu. Tried fries with fondue for appetizer, Virgin frittata and eggs Benedict. Good for groups bc they can take reservations for 6+

Miranda, whom I roomed with in Marrakesh (مراكش) this previous summer at our friend Shaunna's wedding, came to stay me this week at the tail end of her manufacturing conference in NYC. What a treat to have such a positive and social person come to vis

Worst restaurant that I have ever been to in my life. Do not ever go here. We went to this restaurant for a weekend lunch. We were waiting outside. The “hostess” called us in to be seated, then when we got to the table the busboy asked us to step aside from this crowded area while he was wiping the table. I stepped aside about 10 feet away near the entryway, then hostess started virtually attacking me for blocking the entry, when I said I would move to anyplace she wanted, she accused me of being sarcastic, and said that if I did not like the restaurant I should leave. We then sat at the table nervously for five minutes and then left.

This woman and the entire staff seem to a big chip on their shoulder. In a well-managed restaurant the manager would oversee the dining room, and notice that an employee was grossly insulting a customer. No such oversight here. This is a madhouse. There is a major attitude problem here. Look carefully at the negative comments posted on the web about this place. There is a pattern of rudeness and hostility. Keep away.

They only exist because they are in a popular spot in the West Village. If they were in a neighborhood people would catch on. Only go here If you want to be insulted and humiliated in front of your family or friends.

So so. Place is beautiful!... Food not so good... Had two appetizers which were both cold... Meals weren't good either very small portions and no flavor.. The dessert was even bad i mean how can you mess up a dessert!... The only thing good was the bread and olive oil

No A/C and the girl behind the bar is the worst (slow and really bad attitude)

Long wait but food and service great. Been for dinner twice and brunch once. All experiences were very good.

A little pricey but worth it every so often. Wait for brunch can be ridiculous.

Great lunch of pistachio goat cheese salad and tasty brussel sprouts. My friend had the corn soup and Italian salad. Delicious! The service was excellent! Not too hectic and the rain even stopped so we could sit outside and enjoy the village at its finest..

Hip and Hidden!. I love going to this place for Brunch! I always get the pistachio crusted goat cheese salad and the eggs benedict with a cappucino. Delicious! I always have to wait a bit but it is totally worth it. It is a cute, hip place in the West Village. And although it is in a very hidden area it is quiet well known. It depends on when you go though. I have gone at lunch time on Monday and practically no one was there which was nice. I recommend this place if you are looking for great food in a classy setting. My biggest complaint though is that the food is a little overpriced.

Creative Menu of Amazing Dishes. Extra Virgin has a very creative menu of amazing dishes that aresevered with excellent presentation. The portions are very adequate and the prices are more than reasonable. This West Village gem is well worth a try.

Love the fries and the specials. Great local hang out with more classy ladies than men. Try the margaritas.

Delicous!

Worth try. This restaurant serves really good food, and the portions are generous. We actually ordered four appetizers for two + a main course, and luckily, they forgot one of the appetizers! The service is nice, although there's room for improvement. It takes the waiters time to fill up your water, or to show up when you need something.

Good place Food great Beautiful waitress
Eat The City
Extra Virgin is a charming restaurant, particularly from the outside. Tables on the elevated wooden deck are highly coveted but will provide for good people watching if you are willing to wait the extra time.

On Friday night, Chris and I headed to Extra Virgin for a nice meal outdoors. The weather in New York has been going all over the place – last week, it was incredibly hot (90’s, humid, and really gross on the subways) and then all of a sudden, it cooled o

For some reason, we never seem to make it down to the West Village for brunch, even though it's just a stone's throw away and has a lot of great spots. Something about the end of the reliable city grid system makes it seem like another world. Who knows what possessed us to choose the bitterest, coldest day of the winter so far to trek down there today, but boy were we glad we did. I've heard great things about Extra Virgin , so we made our way down W 4th and got our names on the list.
The Right Pick
Cozy and charming, as pretty much every restaurant in the West Village guns to be, this W. 4th St. favorite brings the fashionable set swarming at every meal.

Extra Virgin Restaurant in the West Village, doesn’t take reservations and usually has a wait in the eveing. I recommend you go for lunch when you can get a table without waiting. We did so recently and enjoyed seasonal fresh Mediterranean fare with a twist and lots of — plating. #gallery-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } The shredded beets, watercress, endive salad in a perfectly dressed granny smith apple vinaigrette arrived molded over the pistachio-crusted goat cheese ($13), while the Ahi tuna tartar ($15) had an interesting amalgam of flavors arranged in layers of avocado puree, cucumbers, the tuna and pickled jalapeños in a soy lime vinaigrette. My least favorite dish was the composed shrimp cobb salad ($16) with marinated mini shrimp, a half sliced avocado, diced tofu, corn, sliced boiled as
