Review Havana Central Times Square - New York City

This was one of our favorite places we tried while visiting. First thing, the menu has a typo on it for the pork lovers trio. The first one listed as a pork lover trio is the pork lover. The second one is not a pork lover trio it will include chicken, pork, and beef. We said pork lover trio, not realizing there were two items called that. This led to some confusion. That said, the pork lover trio was extremely tasting. We will def be going back. We had 4 people, so we ordered 2 towers of pork lovers and a side of sweet plantains. We would def visit this restaurant again when in the area. Convenient to Time Square.

After a busy day, this was the perfect place to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal :) everything we had was wonderful, apps to the sides to the main meal. We were too full to try dessert unfortunately! The staff was very friendly and helpful with picking our entrees. Would love to visit again next time I'm in town :)

Went here on a whim, and so greatful we did. Walked in to live Cuban music and a very lively and popping atmosphere. Greeted by a fantastic staff and seated immediately. Served food until 11 pm which is actually harder than one would think to find in NYC on a Friday evening. Our server was incredible, food was top-tier, drinks were aplenty, tasty and not week by any means. Pricing was also great considering all of the above. Would most definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area and we would 1,000% go back to try other items on the menu.

Looking for something to eat whilst in Times Square I came across Havana. As a benchmark I normally complain about something in a restaurant. The food quality, the food quantity or food service. For me there was absolutely nothing to complain about, in fact the opposite. The ribs were rather best I have ever had. The service was great. The waiter and service could not have been better. My only downside about visiting Havana is that it has set a new benchmark for any other restaurant that I go to. Well worth 5 stars and a visit if you are in the area.

La Havana Restaurant in Times Square is a must-visit for those seeking authentic Cuban cuisine and the famous Cuban drink, the Mojito. The restaurant offers a wide range of traditional Cuban dishes, from flavorful Ropa Vieja to savory Lechon Asado. The food is prepared with care and attention to detail, ensuring an exquisite dining experience. The Mojitos at La Havana are simply outstanding, with a perfect balance of refreshing mint, tangy lime, and a hint of sweetness. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the meal. Overall, La Havana Restaurant is a delightful destination for anyone looking to indulge in the flavors of Cuba and savor a truly exceptional Mojito.

In summary, Havana Central provides a decent dining experience with friendly staff, an acceptable cocktail selection, and a lively atmosphere. However, if you're looking for a culinary adventure or unique libations, you might find the offerings here to be more standard than standout. It's a reliable choice for those craving Cuban flavors in the heart of Times Square, but don't expect to be wowed beyond the expected.

Such an amazing restaurant from the front desk to the servers, everyone was super friendly and happy to welcome a family with a baby. The food was delicious , you really can’t get enough from that salmon. I strongly recommend this experience when you visit New York!

Enjoyed every bit of the food. The beans were hard, but the food tasted superb. I will recommend

Stopped in for a drink while we waited for our reservation for dinner - drinks were super good and staff was very friendly. Restaurant has a great atmosphere.

Good food, good cocktails. Ordered a salmon salad - food took a little long to arrive and was too heavily sauced, but the fish and vegetables were fresh and the portion is filling. A very decent meal pre Broadway, or if you're just looking for places with lively vibes.

Lunch at Havana Central Times Square didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious, the flavors on point. Orlando who took care of us at the bar was friendly, attentive and personable. The music was also good.

Got there late at night (~9:45) after going to a Broadway play. They accommodated my large group (10) quickly (the restaurant was half full when we arrived). The food was great. I had some CA recent college grads with definite experience with Mexican food, and they LOVED it.) Decor was nice but I really didn't check it out since we were late. Our service was welcoming, responsive, and competent. Overall 4.8

Just dined here with a group of colleagues. It was an amazing experience that transported us straight to the vibrant streets of Havana. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was lively with Latin music and nice deco. Not to mention a bunch of tables receiving a birthday celebration with waiting members singing and clapping. Every dish that we ordered was bursting with flavors. I liked my mango salmon very much. The salmon was cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients. The drinks were equally impressive too. The mojito and Havana Hurricane were very good. The location of the restaurant was just at the corner of time square. It could not be better. Overall it was a great night filled with delicious food and flavorful drinks. A reservation is highly recommended.

Service was a bit slow but place was full. Staff was very friendly. The food was delicious. There was live music too but it did not bother us. The portions were really big and flavours were amazing. The only dish we did not care for was the chicken which we found a bit dry but everything else was just off the charts

As a tradition to our New York trips we spend an evening again in the Havanna Central Bar. We love the atmosphere and Aaron the bartender is a very nice guy with good advices. We'll coming back next time we are in NY.

This is the place to go!!! When I tell you that the food is amazing, I mean it. One of the best Salmon I've ever had. Super tasty. Nestor kept adding water to our glasses which I appreciate because it was never empty. Steve was attentive and friendly, the whole atmosphere was great. Can't wait to go back.

I chose this restaurant because I'm used to going to the location in Long Island. The food was just as delicious but a little more expensive. The service after being seated was fast and professional. The location is in an old building that needs to be updated.
