The service was very good, the ambience was also nice, a little noisy. My burger was delicious, I could choose how the patty should be. As a vegetarian, my wife also found a delicious salad. Overall, one of the better burger restaurants in the mid-price segment.

Gorgeous restaurant in Upper East side neighborhood. During Sunday lunch hours, we were able to get a table without waiting. There are both indoor and outdoor seating, and a very beautiful large bar area.
We got pancakes, wings and Patty melt. Pancakes were little dry, wouldn’t have nice if they were moist and softer. The wings were on the decent, would have liked that to me moist as well, but the salad and garlic parmesan sauce were good. The Patty melt was the best item. Really nice toast, with lots of paddy and cheese.
We ordered the blueberry mint lemonade and strawberry milkshake as well. Both were excellent.
Throughout the dining, we had a tough time finding our server, but thankfully other servers were around to help us.

Fav place in the city! I never had chicken fall off the chicken bone until eating here. The blue cheese was fresh and the fries were perfect. The drinks were amazing and the service was great.

It was my first time in this restaurant and without a doubt it will be one of the many times I want to visit it. Of course I recommend it. My waiter Dre was super friendly and attentive. I loved the food and much more the service. I was able to speak with one of the restaurant managers. Alberto Álvarez is very lucky to have him because he even took the trouble to approach all the tables to ask us if everything was okay, super focused on his work, without a doubt one of the best restaurants I have visited.

Burger was very juicy and tasty. You can tell the meat was good and fresh. Good size, not too big.
Everything was perfect. The service was also great. First time in months we’ve had good service from the moment we walked into the door. Looking forward to returning and trying more items on the menu.

Post-show we met the rest of the family for a quick bite.<br/>It was Monday night and were were close to closing time at Midnight.<br/>We sat the 5 of us by the bar and the bartender was very nice.<br/>We placed our order, a variety of food and drinks.<br/>I had the 5N sliders. Great Place. My boyfriend and I come here whenever we are near it in NYC. It's great. The burgers are juicy, huge and fresh. The come with a nice array of toppings and the wait staff is always great. It's fairly priced and they have a great beer selection. The sweet potato fries are crispy and perfect and the decor is worth the trip if nothing else. The interior design is so swanky and the atmosphere is so laid back. Great window span for people watching and lots of other great places to eat on the block. I will definitely go back over and over!

Family Unfriendly. Had a terrible experiences with family today. Very family unfriendly, would not seat us with our children even when restaurant was almost empty because my sister had not arrived (either way we would still only need one booth). 2 little boys running ard. Used to go at least 2-3x a month, never stepping in there again.

I know it's a "burger place" but four of us had fish tacos. They were delicious and plenty of food with three tacos and chips (you can substitute a nice small salad). Good looking bar, fair beer list and pretty good service.

Disturbing. Good burger, terrific service, but with 100 plus customers what possible need for hyper loud R&R - it gave me a headache, could not talk to my family, angry at the crescendo of noise. Doubt I will return.<br/><br/>In Italy, where people enjoy good food AND conversation, this would be anathema.

It's pretty decent. When I went to Five napkin Burger the atmosphere busy but nice and the service was pretty great. The burgers however weren't as good as I expected. The reason for this being is because of my very high standards for this place. Why are these standards high? Because Five Napkin took the place of my favorite cantonese food restaurant in NYC. I'll miss you Ollies! Oh well theres more in the city and overall Five Napkin was okay. Loved the fries!

Went there after catching an early movie. Type pricey everything is 7^^. I had fried pickles n pastrami wanted to tried something weird to me. Well I didn't like it too much. Had bacon burger it was okay not fantastic but good. The burger was deft big though had to cut it. Bf hd the pork taquitos deft recomend like that starter very much. But overrall felt it was a lil expensive for burgers not too rocking. Next time ill try what other viewers recommended like the slider

Delicious burgers and fries!. And the burger salad is wonderful (although it took me months not to gag at the concept.) But stay away from the very ordinary appetizers.<br/><br/>Love the turkey burger, too, and the sweet potato fries.

Very Tasty..at least the times I've been there. Very good Burgers a wee on the pricey side but the burger definitely made up for it. Though one side note if your a real French Fries lover you may want to look elsewhere there fries are quite mediocre

Very Pricey For Decent Food. Two for burgers and a beer=$50.00 US. Whoa! My burger tasted and looked like it had been cooked in advance (sandbagging). The patty was shaped like a meatball from being reheated at nuclear temps. The rosemary mayo helped everything slide down nicely. The bun was a cut above. Potato Bun? The fries were OK. The beer was cold. The pressed napkin big and starchy.<br/><br/>But sandbagged burgers for two @ 50 bucks really a bit over the top.

Messy Burgers, yes, but Experience leaves something to be desired. I'm a burger guy and unfortunately the hype surrounding Five Napkin Burger is just that, hype. I enjoyed my burger but there was nothing 'impressive' about my burger that the name of this restaurant might suggest.<br/><br/>My experience at the restaurant was, let's say, less than desirable. There was a bunch of miscommunication with the hostess that slightly soured the whole experience for me.<br/><br/>They pride themselves on burgers but left a lot to be desired. I'll go back someday and give them a second chance.

Open late for after a show. Went after a broadway show, had a freat time. Food was yummy not to expensive, and service was fast. A little cozy, (as are most places in NYC) so you may feel like your eating with the table next to yours.

Long wait with suburban style beepers. Rude service - set off our buzzer incorrectly twice causing us to lose our seat at the bar. Broke a jar of Tabasco spilling on a friends shirt. Burgers took forever and were overcooked. Definitely not what we were hoping for.

The restaurant was really nice, a full bar set up and prompt, friendly service. We both ordered the Original 5 Napkin, medium rare, and they arrived within 10 minutes. The Original is a little concoction of a 10 oz. fresh ground beef pattie, gruyere cheese, caramelized onions and rosemary aioli on a soft white bun. It also came with a decent serving of fries, a nice addition to a burger than cost USD$16.75. I’m stoked I ordered it medium rare; cooked to absolute perfection and made all the difference in taking it from a good burger to a great one. The gruyere and caramelised onion were perfect accompaniments, and just the right amount of aioli. Even the chips were magnificent, crunchy golden brown, well seasoned. Couldn’t fault this one bit; it was a surprisingly amazing burger (wasn’t too sure about a place that does sushi and tacos as well as burg

In addition to the eight varieties of burgers here, the Five Napkin Burger menu also has plenty of other comfort-food options, including an artichoke and spinach dip that we've heard good things about, loaded-up salads, a mac-n-cheese entree that will feed at least two little ones, and, for no discernible reason, sushi. Desserts are the expected sugar-bombs, but that's not always a bad thing. Take the Espresso Brownie Sundae we downed, a super-sized tower of vanilla ice cream, loads of brownie bits, whipped cream, and espresso caramel, topped with salted peanuts. Excessive? Absolutely. But on this evening, worth the calories… and the racing heart.
