Review The Perfect Pint - New York City

Mario Christianto
A pretty standard Irish Pub fare. The food quality is decent and pretty much what is expected of an Irish pub, nothing extraordinary but satisfying enough. Price point is reasonable for NYC tourist trap area. Seating on the 2nd floor is quiet, which is nice. Food came out quick and service was good.

Food was really good. Upstairs bar had an awesome feel to it. View from outside deck was pretty cool. Good drink selection

Great bar and restaurant split over multiple levels. We went back a few times as was a really friendly spot. Food was very nice and the selection of beers was good. Staff were all wonderful and super friendly. Strong recommend.

Feels like I give out too many big scores, but we don’t go to bad places and this is no exception! Views are great and the drinks come fast. The food here is spot on as well, we always order the Sheppard pie. Multiple levels so be ready to explore and have fun doing it

It has been many years since my last visit. This place gives you a great environment. The server was great. I tried the Pistachio Salmon which was an interesting presentation.

Great place for a drink, I had a cocktail and hubby got a bucket of bud, the place was very busy but the server got us a table no problem, he was very friendly and the service was quick didn’t wait long on our drinks, we didn’t have food but it looked amazing. Highly recommend this place.

The food here is amazing, we went back a few times to eat. Staff were so friendly and work really hard, you can see how busy it was at times but never left waiting for anything. Really great service.

Came here on a business lunch. We sat waaaay upstairs. Very tasty Calamari salad. Greens were a tad wilted but the calamari lightly battered and fried was really good.

This place is pretty buzzing during the evening, very close to the Times Square but away the chaos. You'll find a narrow entrance but you can ask for a roof top seating. The place above is huge, has a big roof. The big is pretty cool and has good collections. You'll also enjoy their beer on tap and have pretty interesting appetizers.

This place is walkable distance from times square, it's a great Irish pub serving fantastic beer and food. Servers were fast and easy. Food is great. It's open air terrace plus a separate balcony for smokers. Not very expensive according to the location, a beer pint was 8$. They have screening for sports events too.

Apparently this place serves over a 100 different types of beers (or is it 150) and boy is that for real, or what? The moment you enter, all you see are different types of beers - both draught and bottles. Nice enough standard pub where a bunch of us landed one evening and had a few rounds of beers. Nice evening.

Lobster Bisque and Tuna Wrap were excellent. I will be back.

DO NOT GO. This place totally ripped us off tonight. I guess they thought we were just drunk girls who couldn't keep count of how many drinks we had, and when I challenged the bill the manager was incredibly condescending. I'm pretty sure if I'd had the amount of pints they charged us for I'd be in the hospital.

Great Sunday Brunch. We got into town on a Sunday and to rest from the street festival, we were referred to The Perfect Pint. Great find! The quiche came with a mimosa!!! Best quiche I have ever had, no kidding. Very friendly staff, owners, great location. Highly recommend.

Good bar. Great after work bar in midtown!

The perfect pint, is the perfect pint!. Don't come to an Irish bar and ask for wine, don't come and expect a tourist like attraction, or fake friendly service. Do expect an excellent selection of beers on tap, above average bar food (especially the quesadillas), and real knowledgeable down to earth bartenders. I recently traveled to NY and stayed at the hotel next door to The Perfect Pint, and each day after walking, sight seeing, shopping, etc. I was happy to come to a neighborhood bar that I wish I could transport back home. Night after night our experience there confirmed my expectations of what a good bar should be, and to top it off we received free shots and beer samplings without asking. And NO, I'm not Irish, they were just awesome!

Extremely rude. Asked for their wine by the glass selection and rec'd standard drill of Chardonnay, Cabernet, etc. Asked for Chardonnay choices; next thing a glass of Sutter Home is sitting there; I'm not a wine snob, but probably would have gone to plan B had the bartender so advised as asked. Asked bartender what he had chosen for me (as didn't remember being offered selection), he advised, I wrinkled my nose, and he dumped the glass, stating that "if I wanted a nice glass of wine, I'd probably not go to an Irish pub, ya know". My husband left his beer, we left money for the drinks on the counter and left.
NY State Of Mind
I've been to this place several times and I don't see why this place is so special. They don't have any drink specials and the food is average. The staff was kinda rude the last time I stopped in. My party dropped over $350 and were treated like crap. The two pubs up the block are in my opinion.

Great bite to eat before a broadway play. My friend and I went to NYC for a couple of days and decided to try the Perfect Pint. I had onion soup which was the best that I ever had and my friend had a burger that was cooked to perfection. I was impressed. Not that expensive considering that it is NY.

Our experience with the Perfect Pint was right up the top in their rooftop bar. I have high praise for the range of beer they have on offer and also the tasty snacks they have available. I only ended up at this place at the suggestion of a friend, a local new yorker and we had a thoroughly good time. Especially the wings – yum! Love that they are always teamed with blue cheese sauce! If you fancy a sky high view of the city with a beer in hand, its a nice, casual spot.

Choosing The Perfect Pint was a strategic move -- it was close to my office and easy for Karl to get to from Penn Station. Thankfully, the place wasn't too crowded when we got there and we were seated at a table on the second floor
